Woman in my state get's visit by U.S. Secret Service

U.S. Secret Service agents paid a visit Wednesday afternoon to the home of a Danville woman who had allegedly threatened President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush, Danville police said. The woman, who lives in Shaker Point apartments, allegedly had sent a letter to the IRS in which she made threats against Bush and Obama, Assistant Police Chief Tony Gray said. "The Secret Service interviewed her but that's all," Gray said. "There was no arrest." Danville police were dispatched to the apartment to assist the Secret Service agents shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

I got no idea what happen.

But the Tea bag incident..
now this and alot of other stuff across the country is starting to make me worried about even posting anymore.


What if they visited you over a post or letter?
But not arrest you.

Wouldn't you be like WTF did you come to my house for then?

Ah, if she threatened the President/Ex-President, that would warrant a visit by the SS.

I think it's still gonna be a little while before guys like us are rounded up.

But then.......

ANY time there is a threat against the President the Secret Service visits you, and interviews you. They determine if you're a valid threat, or if you were just blowing off steam. If they decide that you are NOT a threat, then they leave and you don't see them again. This is nothing new.

That's what is starting to freak me out badly.

Do you realize the story's on here?

In a way 90% of all political post's criticizing obama and bush and or government...give them the right to come question us when they want to.

My question is this to ats.

If the government ask's you for our ip's...will you comply?

Well i suppose it wouldn't matter they would get it anyways.

Saying bad things against the President won't get you a visit by the Secret Service. They don't care if you CRITICIZE him. It's when it goes from criticism to an actual threat that they take steps. As long as your posts don't say something about hurting/threatening anyone then it's fine to criticize.

Exactly, if they had to visit everyone who just criticized the government, in any given administration they'd have to visit about 30% or more of the population!
