I was just practicing about half an hour ago, when I got something which seemed to be vibrations. I get muscle twitches while I practice sometimes. This time, it deffenently (sp?) felt like something else, maybe vibrations. If they were vibrations, I didn't project for some reason, maybe because I had muscle twitches as I had the vibrations, and that screwed things up, or some other reason. I can't tell if they were vibrations because I've never had them before, can someone help please!!

Doesnt sound weird to me. The body does weird stuff sometimes. Man, some of the people on here post about like muscle twitches or something and think that they're paranormal and what not. So, I would just say it was your body doing something that was normal.

BTW: 500th post!

he's talking about astral projection.

don't get the muscle twitches mixed up with the vibration.

The best description I can personally offer is that it comes from within, in your head, between your ears, it's sort of scary at first, and if you are totally relaxed when you feel the vibes, you should find yourself out of your body..it's all very sudden, from a vibration to the realization that you are no longer in your body...

hope that helps.

Sometimes I get vibrations in my legs. I'm not meditating or anything. It use to happen once a day, but its rare now. If my leg is still, something in my leg vibrates, if i keep it still it gets stronger until my muscles feel tight, it doesn't hurt, its just uncomfortable. I just move my leg a little and it goes away. Anyone know what this is?

I once got to the level where my body was aggressively vibrating. It was a very emotional day for me, and that night I attempted to astral project. The vibrations weren't expected, or at least not to that degree, so I told myself to stop. I never got to that level again. I recommend that you go with the flow and don't try to intervene. Unless, of course, you're extremely uncomfortable and feel in danger.

Just remember, the vibrations will feel strange because they're not a normal, everyday occurrence.

I was practicing again yesterday, and I definitely had vibrations. It felt like I was being electrocuted and the electricity was muffled so it wasn't that violent, but still noticeable. It also was like someone turned the nob that controlled the amount of electricity going through me, really high, and then very low to nothing, all this in less than three seconds or so. And after that, I was not able to project, why is this? Oh yes, I should also mention, that I tried a new position, instead of laying flat on my bed, I tried sitting on my chair that is cushony.

Muscle twitches happen when you start relaxation exercises for AP or meditation. This is natural because you are attempting to relax your body completely, and small movements in the muscles are noticed because of the lack of movement and state of calmness in the rest of the body.

To discern vibrations from muscle activity, try to notice from where the vibrations are being emitted.

.vibrations often begin in the head and neck.
.vibrations are often accompanied by "noise"--electrical or buzzing sounds are common.
.can feel like waves or "pulses" and not individual movements.

At this point, attempt to move the astral fingers and hands.
Be sure to maintain your awareness of the experience, and attempt to be "aware" of the astral body.
keep very relaxed throughout the experience. At times, the vibrations can be somewhat uncomfortable for they can be quite strong--Know this to be a positive sign of successful awareness and stay in the state.
OH and...DONT freak OuT

I know yesterday's incident were not muscle twitches I can tell which are muscle twitches. For me, the twitches usually occur in a small area of my body and last for an even shorter time period then yesterday's vibrations did. Yesterday's vibrations were felt all over my body and it wasn't like it jolted my body, as I said previously it felt as if it were 'muffled'.
