Black (or dark) Craddle?

I came across a name, The Black ( or Dark) Craddle.
I know nothing about it, and i can't find a single thing on the subject.
The only thing i can say is that it's probably related to egyptian mythology.

If some one could shed some light on this matter i would be much thankful.

Not sure of the context but some 19th scientists considered the Egyptian's Nile delta to have been the 'craddle' of civilization instead of the fertile crescent that was centered on Mesopotmia.

To differentiate between the two craddles I believe the Egyptian one may have been called 'dark' or 'black' due to the blackish soil of the Nile Delta.

However I'm going on memory.

I've heard the phrase used in connection with afrocentric political hip-hop music, and possibly related to the "five-percent" groups as well. This could stem from the explanation Hanslune put forward, but that's my own conjecture.

i believe hanslune is correct....look real good on google...the info you wany must be there............
