Hundreds of Iowans thrown out of public hearing

www.desmoinesregister.com

More than 500 people who are upset with a plan to change Iowa's tax laws were cleared from a hearing tonight at the Iowa House after they interrupted multiple times.
House Speaker Pat Murphy, D-Dubuque, cleared the crowd at about 8:30 p.m. The decision brought about loud protests as the crowd was escorted from the chambers by Iowa State Patrol officers.
“This is the most atrocious thing I’ve seen in the history of the 15 years I’ve been a lobbyist. Pat Murphy has acted like a jack-booted Nazi,” said Ed Failor Jr., president of Iowans for Tax Relief, a conservative taxpayers’ rights group from Muscatine with 50,000 members..
“The idea behind the public hearing is to give people public input and allow people the ability to speak for and against the bill. This is not an athletic event,” Murphy said..
The remainder – 450,292 people – would see a tax increase, according to the Iowa department of Revenue and Finance.

I hear these folks always going on and on about tolerance, but when they can show tolerance for someone that they don't agree with, they shut them up. They are nothing more than fascists and they need to be replaced. It's time we show these non-representing representatives that WE'RE MAD AS HELL AND WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK! LONG LIVE THE 1ST AMENDMENT AND THIS GREAT REPUBLIC!

This is how my county is especially, it is the most corrupt county gov't ive ever seen, I really feel like it is almost its own country within a country.
They make their own rules, court wise, tax wise. I think we have the highest city tax in all of texas!

You can see clearly the roads are hell and your either very wealthy or very poor. I was an out of towner so im in the middle.

I eagerly await the day we start protesting, we would be doing it already but, Obama was a hell of a curveball, and everyone still is waiting to see if he pulls a rabbit out of a hat.
Can you imagine if this was happening under McCain.

We have never lived in a democracy, it was from the beginning a republic.

So much for government by the people, for the people and of the people.

Hitler has arrived in a new coat.

We the people ARE the government.

Thrown out? These "leaders" are scared "****less" of what we might do...

Iowa State Patrol discarding citizens?

Oh, my goodness, goshes golly!

What next?

Jack-booted storm-troopers at my front door?

Yikes!

I am worried. Our "government" is an abject failure.

Thats why i say, city protests shuod involve EVERYONE and thier mother, from a city. And to boot, in this case, it was the city council that showed the first sign of aggression..so breaking things, throwing things at them, hell even burning the council pplace to the gorund is an act of self defense at this point..and everyone gets thier point across. 0 toleration. Thier just gunna keep taxing and aresting everyone anyway. I say, show up an let em feel how you do.

I don't know Ioway law is, but these officials can be thrown out of office, and the people don't have to wait for an election. There should be a procedure in place to recall these elected officals NOW! It will take petitions, it will take time, it will involve a lot of effort, but NO ELECTED OFFICIAL IS IMMUNE FROM RECALL! Remember govenor Grey Davis? He was recalled. Look whose in office now!
Do Not Let These SOB's steal your government, especially your right to free speech and protest!

I'm sorry that these people got kicked out.

Ed Failor, the WHINER in the story, is President of Iowans for Tax relief.

However, this is Karma, for Ed Failor Jr.
Not too long ago, Prior to the General election Ed Failor jr. made a HUGE mistake. No, he made TWO mistakes.

During the primary season:

1. He excluded Ron Paul from a Tax Relief Forum held by his group
Yes, Failor excluded Ron Paul, the taxpayers best friend from this Forum.
The guy that wants to abolish the IRS, was EXCLUDED from the Forum.

2. He went to work for the McCain campaign (no wonder he excluded Paul!!)

So Ed, please resign your post NOW. Iowa's taxpayers need a better leader.
You sir, are corrupt!
