Personally I am quite anxious for "whatever is going to happen"-to happen! Life on this Earth, with all of our economic problems; health issues, WARS, overpopulation, greed, waste, and abig fat ETC.! is getting more than a liitle streesful (on the one hand) and BORING (on the other0. I can't wait until something happens to shake the whole place to it's foundations, and begin a whole new kind of existence for whoever might be left! I think we are more than ready for full disclosure and full REVEAL! Even if they mean to EART us, or put us into slavery mining minerals and ore (which I highly doubt!), it would be a break from the "stuff" we are loaded up with now. WE KNOW "they " are here. Bring it on-I say!

Yeah, I remember feeling the same way. In 1967. I was convinced that something big was going to happen any day.

Then the decades went by, and we're not any closer to figuring out what these things are than we were then. So good luck. Maybe you'll live long enough for somebody to get a handle on this stuff. Me? I'm not sure I'll make it.

I have never expected anything to happen, and will never. If something did happen i would suspect we where being set up. Although i think aliens come here, the monsters running our planet will have control over this release.

I think we are closer to another world war than anything "alien" happening, just by looking around the way russia and china are posturing themselves with N. Korea, that seems like an inevitability. I know everyday i expect to wake and hear that there was a major attack on the US from someone.

I would love for it to be a huge ass spaceship lands instead but, the realist in me says thats probably not going to happen lol

I think it's normal to feel this way- I think everyone feels this way from time to time. I feel that way all the time. I think what you are looking for is relief. Relief from the ridiculous, crushing pressures of contemporary life.

Wanting the aliens to come, or the economy to collapse, or the war to start is an expression of the simple desire for the status quo to end. Enough is enough already! Any change is better than no change, right? But actually, things will almost certainly be worse if any of the predicted ATS calamities actually happen. As difficult as it seems, all of the pressure you have now is better than the alternative.

Personally, I wish the aliens would come, or SOMETHING big and game changing would happen. The status quo sucks. Every day I feel less and less empowered to face the future, every day I feel like something is being lost, that I am becoming somehow less human. Who knows. Maybe this is a normal part of the aging process.

since the dawn of the concept of time, people have had feelings like this. "surely Tomorow!" When your a kid, its "I want to be old so i can do stuff" then you get old and wonder where your youth went.

In the past few months of being on this site i have noticed over 20 proclaimed "earth shattering events" that have never come to fruition, why is that? people here tend to be like glenn beck, and dwell in the COULD, meaning they can imagine the worst and they prepare for the worst, even if its just a small hiccup.

Im pretty sure if TSHTF, then you would possibly rethink your outlook.

read a book (non fiction), go outside, play some basketball, something, because sitting around waiting will never prepare you for the "could happens"

thats just my opinion.

I remember back when I started getting interested in this stuff, fully expecting something around 2000.
I first heard about Nibiru and it's original date back in '02. It was supposed to be by then by '03.
Since I read a lot, I've seen that there have been a lot of the same predictions that you find on ATS that get cycled over year after year.

The most miserable of human conditions is that of uncertainty.

Information is dread.

I think alien interference is the only thing left that would bring humanity together. If our world as a whole was at stake we might forget about our differences pretty quick. We are convinced we are alone so there is nothing left to do but fight amongst ourselves which will always be a loosing battle. One country will always attack another for a reason that is never good enough and the rest will follow suit because that is what we do. An alien disclosure would be a wake up call to humanity. That is why I hope it happens.

I personally believe that something will happen soon. Soon meaning, anywhere from 2 minutes from now to XX years. My bet is on people who were born 1970 and on, will witness global changes. We have already witnessed this with the TV channels, then the Internet, also home gaming systems.

We will witness something that will be truly a global knowing. An event that will be extremely destructive to our civilization, but not kill it. I have no idea what, this is just a gut feeling. I have always had this feeling since I was young. Didnt know then, but I realize now, that I had always known this.

So I busy myself reading all there is too know, which is impossible, and keep myself awakened to the world around me. For when the SHTF, while most will be in shock, it will instantly click in my head, This is it. There will be no doubt. Whatever SitX is, I will react with knowledge of several possible Sitx, my mind will go to that "survival mode" and life will continue.

The best we could do, is explore the possibilities, and dream up ways around, ways to survive to the different Sitx, when it happens, you will know.

I feel it soon boys and girls. I dont know what, but things are winding up. Tension is building, people are stressed, the markets are stressed, borders are stressed, the earth is stressed, the sun is waking up to a solar maximum, who knows what possiblities the universe will throw at us.

In our lifetime, and our children will help rebuild (depending on survival, a comet strike will leave no room for survival thousands of kilometers surrounding strike, but lets not think of that one)

As a kid growing up in the country, I remember the adults say, "Rain's coming. I can smell it."

I thought it was impossible, but now we know that they were likely smelling the ozone from distant storms now riding the wind in advance of a storm.

I'd also hear, "Storm coming. Can feel it in my bones." Well, arthritis is sensitive to changes vapor pressure and dropping atmospheric pressure.

I would agree. If it were one or two bad signs, that would be iffy.

But when you have so many signs converging so quickly, I'd say that things could go tits up at any time. One miscalculation on the political front, one bad move on the religious front, one asteroid, one volcano, one tectonic shift, and things can get out of hand real quick.

And with a culture that can't even acquire the very basics for themselves, the loss of life will be significant. Anyone make a match? Antibiotic? Soap? How about hunt, skin, clean, and butcher an animal?

Yep. I can't see the clouds yet, but I can sure as hell hear the rumble.

I'm with you on that! Although I do think we're probably going to see natural disaster scenarios play out long before we get to meet *the others* ~~I will take what I can get....dare I call myself a disaster w****?! ;D

That got to me...... I've always had those feelings too, that I would live to see the end of things as we know it. I thought Hurricane Katrina may have been my witness to disaster so to speak (I lived in Gulfport MS when it hit). Unfortunately the feeling of impending doom stayed the same. It's strange, I was in NY for 9/11 (which predicated the move down south). Then we get wiped out by Katrina a few years later~ Now I'm wondering what the big one is going to be. I hope it comes soon. I'm tired of this society really. I think it all has to be torn down before anything good can ever come of it.

I know what you mean, but be careful what you wish for. Quite a few of these theories involve massive destruction and death. However, I prefer to look on the bright side of things! Here's hoping for something positive to happen and even out all the cruddy things that just keep coming at us!!
