Humans the imperfect Golden Ratio...

This post will ask your opinions on what most of us are considered to be the imperfects compared to Phidias' famous golden ratio.

The golden ratio can be found everywhere in nature, but humans were thought to also have this feature. The perfect human would equal phi!

It can also be found in art! Which to me means that there can be a perfected art form that appeals to the perfect human.

The pyramids and other great structures have been found to have the golden ratio. Does this make it perfect?

The next topic confuses me with both religion, math and scientific fact. It was said that god created us in his image. Right? Well why is it we find imperfections in humans such as mental and physical disabilities? Is "god" him or herself mentally and physically challenged? Why would a caring "god" put such pain on certain individuals and make others so close to phi that they appeal to everyone?

My question to the reader is, how can such a "god" be so unfair? Please no bible quotes, if you have to, put it in your own words so it can be analyzed!

What does the majority of you say this is? Phi was used in many of Leonardo Da Vinci's works such as the "Last Supper", "The Mona Lisa" and etc. Phidias (500BC-432 BC), used this number in alot of his architectural works.

Can this number be so perfect that it simplifies everything and lets you know what to look at and what not too?

Interesting fact! A credit card is in the shape of the golden rectangle! Does that make it easier to use?

Something I would like to point out. You know how they say if you let an infant (1-3yrs) listen to classical music they will more likely be more intelligent? I've heard this many of times, my parents didn't however and I was listening to "shout at the devil" by motley crue before I could blink! haha. Well not only do the acoustical instruments play to phi they were built to it.

Thank you! I too find it interesting how everything is connect one way or another by math! And what's great about it is that it doesn't take a "rocket scientist" too see this. Maybe that's why advertisements have this conveniently placed in their adds. Maybe to appeal to the human sub-conscious?

If this is the case then people should have no problem making great work of art or great music for all genres!

You should check out sacred geometry and the flower of life(my user pic). Inside the flower of life you can find all gemetric shapes, 2d, 3d and even the shadow of 4d(impossible for us to actually see).

I think the flower of life is the basic structure of the universe. Although to be more accurate I would call it a construct of our perception.

Sacred Geometry goes hand in hand with this topic.

Also, when it says "in gods image", it's talking about consciousness/soul, not about the physical body IMO.

Cool thread mate.I would say out of all lessons i have tripped over in life,this one is the most amazing of all and i have royally fell for some epic bull# in the past[repeat that please,lol cheers ol].I found this builds such a love of nature that you will protect it forever,all of it.Every where i go now i look for it.Its profound and it changed my out look on life over night.I really like the flowers growth.[if the lads heard me i would get grief for months,lol they wont.Happy Holidays guy and gals
