Hello,

New member here and I would like to share a picture I took while out on my ATV back in 2007.

Take a very close look (they are small), two strange objects that seem to be on the same flight path. If you zoom in using a photo editor they seem to be silver discs.

- Noticed when I reviewing the pics
- Nothing was seen or heard when i took the picture.
- Hard to tell from the pic, but if they are on the same flight path its North/South, in an area almost all air traffic goes east/west.
- Took three pictures from that point without closing the shutter, so i don't think its dirt.
- Canon Powershot SD600

I know its not much, but its the most I have ever got on camera, figured I would share.

If you didn't see them when you took the picture, how can you know what direction they were moving? There is nothing to indicate a direction of travel.

They appear to be two fast moving birds. If that's the case it wouldn't be too hard to blink and miss them.

Beautiful picture by the way. Where was this taken?

I am not sure, I am only assuming if the objects are following each other, it would be north/south, for all I know they could be flying parallel.
Sorry I should not make assumptions

Not sure of the ridge I was on, but its looking east down the Chilliwack river valley in South West B.C.

I thought birds too, but zooming in real close shows them to be silver, made me wonder.
Probably nothing, but something worth sharing.

All in all it's a very good photo of the river and from an excellent vantage point.

The silver-whitish coloration leads me to believe that there is a good chance they are a pair of snow geese which are fairly common in that area. But since the shutter speed of a camera has a lot to do with blurring and minor distortions (coupled with the motion of the two objects) it is very hard to determine for sure. Pristine, crisp shapes can quickly become vague spheres, oblong globs and all sorts of things depending on speed and direction.

Flag and a Star for your honest title and not making any claims

You will find that birds that only take up a small number of pixels nearly always look silvery like that from the haze and motion blur. Keep shooting.
