Just like it says browsing across gov today I came across a action that should give alot of us that have seen alot of inaction by congress as of lake a little ray of hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the bottom section of this bill.

"Whereas pardons issued during the lame duck period of a President's term would not be subject to the judgement of the voters; Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That--

(1) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the granting of preemptive pardons by the President to senior officials of his administration for acts they may have taken in the course of their official duties is a dangerous abuse of the pardon power;

(2) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the President should not grant preemptive pardons to senior officials in his administration for acts they may have taken in the course of their official duties;

(3) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that James Madison was correct in his observation that `f the President be connected, in any suspicious manner, with any person, and there be grounds [to] believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him; they can remove him if found guilty';

(4) it is the sense of the House of Representatives that a special investigative commission, or a Select Committee be tasked with investigating possible illegal activities by senior officials of the administration of President George W. Bush, including, if necessary, any abuse of the President's pardon power; and

(5) the next Attorney General of the United States appoint an independent counsel to investigate, and, where appropriate, prosecute illegal acts by senior officials of the administration of President George W. Bush."

There is more going on behind the scenes than people know about. I have been waiting for this to surface and I am very glad to hear that it is surfacing. Let's see what Alex Jones says about this.

thanks for making me smile falcon!

Woderfull this Is great News Investigate after the president is out of office and the damage is done, If they had done this long ago perhaps there would be less Damage, what the bush adminstration did is said and done, why dont they focus on the crimes being commited by the current one!

yeah you're right.

The crime is already committed, so let's just forget about Bush and move on.

.....great idea.....

if we all followed your wonderful example, we'd have no need for law enforcement

a crime cannot be committed until it's referred to in past tense.

in other words, you can't be arrested until you've already done the thing you've been arrested for

I didnt say he should get away with anything, Had they Investigated this sooner perhaps he would have done less damage, they basicly alowed them to comit multiple crimes and now they want to investigate why?

to cover up the crimes being commited by the current adminstation that is why. Now if the cops just sat by as crimes where being commited and waited untill more damage was done then needed to be, then taking the criminals off the street we would be astounded but hey this is partisan politics so its ok.

The only thing we have to worry about here is if this call for a group to investigate incidents or crimes during the bush adminstration is nothing more then another attempt to consolidate information this government doesnt want out that whistleblowers, spys and espionage agents have they dont want to disclose for the repocussions that would come on them by testifying.

I should make some phone call's to find out if thats what this is about other people here on ats should do the same so if the politicians are planning on using any evidence anyone plans on turning over to blackmail someone else politically they cant do it or be allowed to get away with it like they did with the 9-11 commission. And if thats there plans with this investigation those of us in the know should go out of our way to make all the information this investigative group doesnt want out public.

At least if nothing more then public discloser.

The war continues

Viva la francia.
