Army Reviews troop use after fatal Alabama shootings

news.yahoo.com

The Army said Wednesday it opened an inquiry into whether federal laws were broken when nearly two dozen soldiers were sent to a south Alabama town after 11 people died in a shooting spree last week.

State officials said the deployment of 22 military police officers and the provost marshal from Fort Rucker was requested neither by Republican Gov. Bob Riley nor the White House, which typically is required by law for soldiers to operate on U.S. soil.

Is this a violation of posse camatitus? I think it is. I also think this kind of thing is being done to acclimatize us to the "new" way things will be ran.

What do you all think? If anyone else knows anything please let me know. I saw a guy on here a while back saying there were soldiers in the streets in connecticut in his town. This sounds eerily familiar.

The second link is a pic of the soldiers in the streets

Well, first question that needs to be answered is "Who requested them?" ; if it wasn't the Governer or the White House, then who was it?

I doubt very seriously that the troops just up and went on their own.

You just took the words out of my mouth, exactly who requested them, because if it was the local police then somebody is going to get fired.

I didn't say it was made up.

If they are going to do a formal inquiry, the first question they need to resolve is who requested the troops for that town.

That's the first thing they need to look at.

ohhh no one will get fired..it's the politics of small town dancing..
I live in one of those small towns....last year the SWAT team was called in to break up a college party...on private property nonetheless.....it was rioteous....the college kids were totally freaked out and lawsuits from their parents were quietly hushed and/or settled out of court...with our local law enforcement bubbas soooo proud of themselves...

Get used to it.....

This HR 1388 is the smoke screen for martial law!!!!
