I'd imagine the same way you harness a fission reaction at a nuclear power plant. Thermal pressure expanding fluid across a turbine.

We're pretty accustomed to doing that part already.
So, yeah, harnessing the reaction isn't going to be a problem.


Aside from that...

Boy would I love to visit this National Ignition Facility... what a blast that would be.

I don't think we will run out of the most abundant resource in the universe any time soon. That is why nuclear fusion is the way to go.
