The problem is that if you ban one kind of gun, the next step is going to be to ban another kind of gun and eventually all of the guns. This is the first step, by these stupid liberals, to start this process! That is why it is such a problem, because it will NOT stop there.

I always wanted to try this experiment. Take a large load of all thread and drop it out of a bomber over a pumpkin or watermelon patch and see what happens.

what the gun lobby always forgets and does so at their own peril is that there are many more weapons out there than just fire arms. They bitch and complain about an assault weapons ban but miss the in my opinion the easier and much more important problem of WMD ownership.

I mean it is important to keep guns for self defence, but the fact remains that if one is going to defend ones self nothing works better than a pound of C-4.

Everyone seems to blow this out of proportion....... NO there should not be a ban..... First of all if you dont know how to use a weapon properlly; DON'T USE IT!!!!!!!! Assualt Rifle or a slingshot..... Its people who dont know how to use weapons or who use them carelessly who mess it up for all of us....... If you want a better understanding of all weapons learn them..... If your weapon jams and you cant fix it quick, its nobody's fault but your own........

Now you're just being overtly facetious.

Anyway, there isnt anything stopping you from blowing something up. Get some Tannerite or a couple pounds of black power and go nuts. As long as you arent out destroying other peoples property, harming anyone, causing any "peace" disturbances you wont be breaking any laws.

Get yoursle f a 37mm grenade launcher for about $300. There arent any laws covering the device itself so order one online and have it shipped USPS and have a literal "blast."

Wow..peoplel are pissed..back in the 50's there was no desire for people load up on weapons, much less AK's etc..but, when liberals started ignoring the american laws and starting goverment paid criminal breeding programs (welfare) and make it necessary for families to survive (both spouses working) that cause their kids to grow up in the streets and dummed down..with out no supervision from home you got what you got..yes people are arming up to what is coming. And it won't be pretty..

Caught that didn't you

My point really is that while arguing about gun control laws is important it really needs to be stated that the second amendment covers more than just guns. In my opinion the easier fight that would include slug-throwers would be to go to the supreme court and demand that all arms legislation that prohibits people from buying any sort of arm be lifted. This would include peoples precious assault weapons and other slug-throwers.

If you lump all weapons together collectively you can diffuse our idiot legislative branch from taking away our rights piece by piece.

I'm not sure it would be "easier." It's the one year anniversary of the Heller decision and D.C. hasnt loosened it's unconstitutional ban one bit.

Also, one runs the risk of having the SCOTUS, faced with an all or nothing decision, to decide on the side of "nothing" and no doubt create an uprising welcome by some and feared by others.

Thanks to this back and forth I've been intentionally looking into extremes (missiles, explosives etc..) and for less than $100 you can throw together a missile with an exploding warhead that's perfectly legal. I'm considering doing to Mass what the Palestinians have been doing to Israel with the demands that Mass stop "Mass'ing up" New Hampshire

i say who cares?
The only reason you get an assault weapon is to kill people anyways.

Let the private milita's carry them, let the armed forces carry them, but average every-day citizens don't need immediate and direct access.

I really must tell the other members of my AR15 competition team that they are mass murderers and that all their talk of free-floating barrels and selection of optics is just a front for their next killing spree.

It's very generous of you to tell me what I should and should not have access to, it may be a little old fashioned but I prefer to make my own decisions, especially where the safety of my family is concerned.

You might be right.

I was talking to my local Discount Ammo guy yesterday. He said all the ammo is sold out all accross town his store included and has been since Barrack became an item last fall.

There have been 6000 plus Ruger LCPs sold (a sweet little pocket .380 auto) recently which calculates at 2% of the population of Alaska's largest municipality!

Selling like hotcakes thanks to Barrack, Pelosi and Reid!

i can attest to the ammo price jump- i was in my fave gun shop today that usually has really cheap ammo.
my 7.62x39 ammo is now $15.99 for the cheap stuff- used to be around $4 a box. guess it's time to get the dies for them *sigh*
and i haven't even looked yet to see if the price of the dies has jumped and the way the ak spits the shells around they are hard to find sometimes

Yeah, what you said! Like all those fancy military-style scoped sniper rifles the deer hunters use....

When do you think they'll realize that as TPTB are snatching my guns, they're eyeballing theirs?

yep. i don't have a fancy "military style" scoped rifle but i do have the exact same model snipers rifle they used in vietnam- which is also one of the best selling big game rifles in america. so what if it can only hold 6 rounds? if you are within 350 yards of me i will hit you and when you have no idea where i am i can pin down how many people before they get to me. has been proven in warfare.
all they need is a starting point to get the ball rolling and before you know it all guns will be illegal
history may repeat itself sooner than we expected

They take the evil black rifles for looking scary, then the hunting rifles for being used by military and police snipers. How long before they attach lever action guns to Wild West shootouts and black powder muskets to the slaughter of indigenous people and come after them?

If gun-grabbers at larger werent as stupid as they are thereby making them incredibly dangerous this would all be pretty darn funny.

LOL...
Arm chair commandos! You guys can "talk" all you want but when it comes time for them to kick in your door and take your guns that's all that's gonna happen.

Texas will be first too, they'll use the Mexico BS as cover. Good luck, you're all screwed.

oh, how noble of you. You're condoning the use of an assault weapon to protect your family?

Personally, i keep a loaded shotgun and pistol. I believe in right to bare arms, but there should be limitations.

Assault weapons are designed to kill people. Thats it.
There is zero sport in an assault weapon...unless you're talking video games, then yeah, pull out that mini-gun and go to town.

So, by your standards, anyone should be able to own any weapon for any reason at any time?

*shakes head in disbelief*

well, only in America can you have that opinion.

So, i guess that's something to be proud of.
