Musical Notes on £20?

I wasn't sure where to post this. I've been wondering what the music is on the older £20 notes for ages, and can't figure it out. Does anybody know what it is?

Well, its a trio of songs really...one is God save the Queen, the other is Oh Canada, and the last is the theme song to that 80's show Small Wonder

It's a reference to Elgar on the other side of the note.

That is an Elgar note ( a 20Q for us Bank of England staff ), the notes are from the UK national Anthem which Edward Elgar wrote.
besides that note is no longer in circulation now you need a new one.
And thats an even older Elgar note , its still got Merlyn's sig, its now Baileys's signature.

Want a quick way to see if its fake? Look at the 'micro writing' in the design under the Queens head, that squiggle is actually made up of 20 pounds written. You may need a small magnifying glass.
