I went to school in the UK, and I remember the police fingerprinting everyone in my year. That was 25 years ago. Pretty draconian. The UK police suck badly. The UK is a really violent place, too. I havent seen any of that level of aggression, intimidation and flat out violence in the USA. People are very civil here. It took me a while to adjust to people talking to me, like when standing in the check out queue, or at a bar. My psychology was expecting trouble, and immediately I go on the defensive and get ready for a fight. They were just being friendly and normal. It was my behavior that wasn't normal. That's what the UK did to me. Paranoid and violent.
