How Much Money is in the World Today?

I am really getting tired of all the speculation about the total wealth in the world, so I am dedicating this thread to establish something solid for ATS members.

I have heard figures as high as 600 trillion, 500 trillion for the world cartels alone, but what is the true numbers. Some sources say $50 to 60 trillion, so which is it?

I am not going to say what I found is fact, but very much up for debate.

Do we trust the feds numbers?

Do we trust bank estimates?
