If all previous acts of politically motivated terrorism have been committed by a particular nationality, then doesn’t it make sense to focus searches on those groups? Racial profiling methods was very controversial now it has been proposed that it could potentially be flawed, I believed all along that it was flawed. Are these researchers really dumbified more than me. No! so, 'why' is the question to be asked.

As much as I disagree with them actually doing things like this. The dark reality is that it is true.

More and more we are seeing people of middle-eastern decent being victimized by security and the government for having stupid things in common like first names or hair color.

This increase in racial profiling is only adding to the Human Rights abuses we've been seing over the past decade and it shows just how far they've come in convincing the West that middle eastern people are bad and need to be watched.

Simply pathetic...

I was thinking the same thing. How could you even make that comparison?

As far as racial profiling goes, I dont know of anyone other than a muslim who is willing to blow themselves up for the highly unlikely chance of getting laid in another deminsion, or for any other reason for that matter.

The Japanese did it in WWII, do we now ground every Japanese pilot because were afraid he's gonna crash it into the ground? No....

Secondly, not everyone of middle eastern decent is a Muslim, further it could be argued that they never flew those planes into those buildings, however that's for another thread, I don't wanna derail here.

The fact is that racial profiling is wrong, however you want to look at it, if we were all just one color, they would find other useful ways of weening out the dangerous ones from the innocent civilians just going about their lives.

It's sickens me to think that some people will actually support this kind of behaviour because a dozen men did something almost a decade ago, therefore we have to watch ALL of them in order to be safe.

Yups, that's the great ol' American way apparently.

Profiling of Americans travelling happens in some parts of the world on account of the US's actions. It seems that the people in charge of profiling Muslims travelling in the US basically target people with a Mediterranean appearance. The government of countries like Brazil are irritated and have started to detain American citizens for searches.

This kind of thing is spreading because of what is known as reciprocity.

PS: It was a pre-emtive strike...and if i remember correctly, we Nuked them for it....we weren't at war until the US decided to be at war.

I think you have missed the point here. The point is that now ALL Muslims are having to suffer because of what a few did. 99% gets blamed for what 1% does. I know my parentages are off but you get the point. The problem is to catch that 1% you have to throw the net at whole lot which is a shame but that is the way it is. To make matters worse the next attack may be by members of another group and then the whole group of people will be added in as well. I do not like it but that is the world we live in to day.

And what percentage of all other crimes commited in the US are from people of different races/religions? How many Caucasian teens do you see being pulled over anytime a school shooting occurred in recent days?

It is amusing that you cannot see the comparison, I find it very interesting the way you think.

Small percentage of black Americans did crime but it was generalized. You get it?

do you see the comparison? small percentage of a people does something which causes hate towards the whole people which in result harm is directed towards the whole group. Jews in Germany can also be compared to Muslims and blacks.

The problem with this is that, if the terrorist groups know that Arab passengers are more likely to be stopped, then they'll take their white members, dress them like a CEO, and have them orchestrate the attack.

There appears to be a disconnect between actual reality, and what they CLAIM is reality.

In the past 3 years, I have flown quite a bit. Know who it was that was always singled out for the "special checks"?

Hot chicks, old ladies in wheelchairs, and old men. Meanwhile, I'd traipse through the airport and never get a second look. (And while I would not have been happy to be singled out, at least I could understand it from my appearance).

I'm afraid you're wrong here. Not that I don't appreciate blacks in America have been disenfrachised economically and otherwise.

A small percentage of any group commit crimes. But with some the numbers are noticeably different.

Check the numbers of violent crimes by blacks in the US - murders, armed robbery, rape, etc. Disproportionately extremely high considering the population ratio.

Detroit is the murder capital of the continent. The prison system is filled mainly with black inmates.
