In 1933, group of businessmen including the heads of Chase Bank, GM, Goodyear, Standard Oil, the DuPont family and Senator Prescott Bush tried to
recruit Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler to lead a military coup against President FDR and install a fascist dictatorship in the United
States. Why? To join with Hitler and take over the world. But the man they wanted to lead the military? It turns out Smedley was a FDR supporter.
He told Congress what Prescot and friends were up to. Everyone involved denied it, and none of them were brought up on criminal charges. Still, the
Committee did at least acknowledge the existence of the conspiracy, which ended up never getting past the initial planning stages.
So... If we didn't have one honest Patriot the Bush family would have installed a Dictatorship. Hmm, when some one else with the same last name
took over... He rounded people up and sent them to Gitmo. He started wars for business reasons. He called the most important document in history a
Goddamn piece of paper.
