branty pretty much summed up what's wrong with that. No one enlists children to sing songs like that for politicians. Wouldn't even do it for the president's birthday! The only ones that did this were fascists. If I was one of the mom's there, my kid and I would be singing a different song in a bullhorn.

What's disturbing about it?

"We’re gonna spread happiness.
We’re gonna spread freedom.
Obama’s gonna change it.
Obama’s gonna lead ‘em.

We’re gonna change it
And rearrange it.
We’re gonna change the world"

Do you know how many songs have been written about changing the world? Why is this one so disturbing?

Only one thing BH. It does not say "We're Gonna change it -We're gonna lead 'em". If it did it would be innocuous but this is a whole other thing. Be honest with yourself and replace the word "Obama's" with "Bush is" and see how your gut reacts. Be intellectually honest now. Replace it with "Jesus is" or "Allah is" and think about it.

You are certainly not unreasonable although you are biased, as am I, so walk a mile in others shoes here. I know as a Conservative Libertarian I have to often take a step back.

If he does follow through on his mandatory service for underaged children that he spoke of before the election, lots of people need to step back and reassess.

It can't be any worse than the little kids who are programed to sing Christian songs. When I was a kid, I learned so many of them. I had no idea what they meant, but they had a catchy tune. I gave up Christianity long ago, but I still find myself every once in a while humming or singing a Christian song. The B-I-B-L-E that's the book for me.......

This came straight out of California. Does it surprise anyone? This is the state that is becoming the fastest 3rd world state in the union.

They tax everyone to death and then refuse to send tax refunds because they need even more money.

I am not worried about this spreading to real America. This kind of crap belongs in that state. They have had more people leave that state in the last few months than any state in the union. I say let the Mexican Drug Lords have the state of California.

Obama is the new Hitler and if you can't see that you are blind. He vilifies hard work while rewarding inner city baby factories. His version of Hitler Youth will be roving gangs like we see in third world Africa. It's not going to be the rosy, rosy picture some here are heaping praise upon when watching this sick video.

The difference between us and his version of the third world he wishes to perpetrate on America is that we have an amendment that will take care of his roving bands of Hitler youth.

The funny thing is those that voted for him are the lata coffee drinking "take the guns away" crowd that Osama's youth will go after first. Its the same people that created this video. What a hoot when he rounds up his most loyal disarmed supporters and they go the way Sadam's supporters went...

Let me try another way here.

What has he changed?

He said no Lobbyists then appointed Lobbyists to his own Cabinet. No change there.

He said no more Earmarks then his first budget has nearly 9,000. No change there.

He appointed a Tax Cheat to head the IRS. No change there.

He spent more than Bush did his entire time in office and his budget is bigger. No change there.

He enlarged the size of government. No change there.

He is raising taxes on the people who create jobs right in the middle of an economic crisis. No change there.

Hi is following the timetable George Bush already established to get out of Iraq for the most part. No change there.

He is launching Drones from within Pakistan. No change there.

So if the song is a lie, should children be singing it?

Now, I have to clean up the carpet!
Seriously, though, that's why I said it's no different than kids singing "Jesus Loves Me". When I was a kid, I sang all the time. I LOVED that stuff! You give me a song and I'd sing it. I didn't care what it's about.

This little girl loves music and in October of last year, all things Obama (in Venice CA) were the talk of the town.

He never spoke of mandatory service for underage children!
OMG!

I beg to differ on that.

Imagine the reaction from the mainstream media if there were some paramilitary youth group in a public school chanting ritualistic praise for John McCain. However, since the "Dear Leader" in this case is Barack Obama, all we get from the MSM are the sounds of silence.

So when I'm President, I will set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year. This means that by the time you graduate college, you'll have done 17 weeks of service.

We'll reach this goal in several ways. At the middle and high school level, we'll make federal assistance conditional on school districts developing service programs, and give schools resources to offer new service opportunities. At the community level, we'll develop public-private partnerships so students can serve more outside the classroom.

Emphasis on "conditional on school districts developing service programs"

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Democrat Sen. Barack Obama's stunning assertion in a recent speech that the U.S. needs a "civilian national security force" that would be as powerful, strong and well-funded as the half-trillion dollar Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force is not included in published transcripts of his prepared remarks.

In the July 2 speech in Colorado Springs, Obama insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set."

Campaign officials have declined to return any of a series of WND telephone calls over several days requesting comment. Nor have they posted a transcript of the speech on their website.

The lines are not included in a transcript of the prepared remarks published by the Denver Post and Wall Street Journal.

One of the videos I wanted to post started to play for me when I found it then it was removed as I went to YouTube to get the link.

Your first video has nothing to do with what Obama spoke of. It's a drill team and there's no indication that obama had anything to do with it or even knew about it. Nothing about mandatory service for underage children.

Obama's quote is about setting a goal for community service. Not about it being mandatory. It's about OFFERING these kids the organized option to serve their country in some way. Again, it's not mandatory. Read it carefully. They will federally fund the schools IF they set up service programs that kids can take advantage of.

Expanding Americorps and PeaceCorps are NOT offered to underage children and are totally voluntary just as they have always been.

I suggest you go to the actual source that your website is linking, because it doesn't say what your site claims is does.

America Serves

Obama and Biden will call on citizens of all ages to serve. They'll set a goal that all middle school and high school students engage in 50 hours of community service a year, and develop a plan for all college students who engage in 100 hours of community service to receive a fully-refundable tax credit of $4,000 for their education.

Voluntary. In exchange for money for college... Underage children do NOT go to college.

As far as "civilian national security force", we don't really know what that means, do we? In any case, it's NOT underage children!

And Rahm was talking in 2006 about HIS plan, not Obama's plan. That was Rahm speaking, not Obama.

In the July 2 speech in Colorado Springs, Obama insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set."

This is TRUE, but has nothing to do with underage children! Add all this together and you still don't get Obama speaking of mandatory service for underage children.

Not really. I did a lot of research on this when it first came out 5 months ago to see what it was about. And at that time, I found that children singing about inspiring personalities and even their presidents is not a rare and dangerous thing, as some would have us believe.

Oh, thanks...
