Proposal being made for a one world currency to be overseen by UN gaining acceptance.

I believe we are living in what the Bible calls The Last Days. A one world currency is certainly plays a role according to Revelation.

Interested in other ATS'ers opinions (not necessarily about the Last Days).

I just wonder when they say one world currency do they actually mean every last island with humans on it around the globe.

There have been many currencies that were called world currencies in there time but they were never used 100 % around earth.

If one does happen it will create worldwide problems with prices; similar to what happen in Europe when the euro came and how the same products had prices differing by many euros such as in Ireland compared to France or Germany; I would love to see them try to fix that without the whole world complaining during the process.

I will only accept a world currency if it is gold and silver minted coins.

This is rather ludicrous. Instead of 193 separate fiat currencies, we'll have one fiat currency, based upon what? Will it be gold(not enough available to realistically make that choice; silver, bronze, chewing gum, coffee beans? At what point, do they freeze the foreign exchange rates for the switchover? Maybe they can just get Parker Brothers to make a special edition Monopoly with new world currency, and just close the government printing presses.

Though a boost for what might seem an other-worldly plan, Prof Mundell has previously suggested single currencies are only appropriate for countries with similar economies.

Other Worldly ineed. Looks as though these two men have plans to propose this to the g20 meeting in London. We will keep an eye on this.
