What are your guilty pleasures? Where do you go, what do you do when you want to "escape"? If your time was yours to waste any way you wanted, how would you use it?
Me?
ATS
FAUX News
Survivor (on TV)
Wildcrafting Herbs
CNBC (while the Mkts are open)

Wouldnt it be cool to see a season of "Survivor" where all the contestants are Politicians??

Mods: I'm not sure where this goes, so put it where-ever

Ooohh.. I have a lot.. I might be considered gluttonous that way lol.

1. Books - I have a lot of books and i read a lot - but once in a while I indulge in the fiction chick-flick, mystery, and horror novels. There's nothing like curling up with a hot cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and spending the afternoon reading.

2. Writing - I would hardly call it a guilty pleasure, more like an outlet. But sometimes when I'm needing to get away I write. Okay, not sometimes, I write a lot.

3. Red Wine - Once in a while (or more often then that) I enjoy a glass (or two or three) of wine.

4. TV Shows - I don't watch much TV but I have a few series that I love, that I buy and watch. I went through the entire X-Files Series last year watching one or two a night. But, I've been known to lock myself away for a weekend and watch an entire season of something.

5. ATS - I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure, more like a pleasant addiction

Heres another good reality show idea, in keeping w/the politicos "Survivor", Make the Politician "Amazing Race"... no Assistant to make their travel plans, pit stops doing what "The people" must do, etc...
I wanna see how Pelosi does.

*ATS - although last 24 hrs for me felt more like work then pleasure
So glad I've discovered the joys of BTS ::rah rah::

*I can so relate to the above with reading. I love horror and the occasional chic lit. As of late, I've been too serious - time to lighten up a bit. Suggestions welcome.

*News, News, News - opening bell, closing bell LOL and I can't leave it on just one station. I'm constantly clicking aroud - seeing who's leading with what

*Blush alert! Ironically, I love the show Big Brother. I watch After Dark every night so it's a good thing I'm a night owl - ends at 3am. Good thing I still live in Bedrock and don't have DSL or satellite yet or I'd be hooked up to that 247. It's sick I tell you sick! I think it's an interesting social experiement.

*XBoX - specifically Oblivan. I came of age when game systems were born. I had the very first Atari LOL I haven't grown out of this and don't imagine I will.

*MY TIME - my own personal, nobody needs anything from me all alone time. This is a requirment for me to function peroid. Hence, the nightowl. I require alone time, perhaps a byproduct of being an only child but, need it love it - time spent is usually here

*Old Movies. I love old movies. Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn Sci-FI - that phase hollywood went through with gigantic insects lmao. Around halloween TCM shows some wicked, art house type of horror movies. I've found some true gems!

*Hagan Daaz Amazon Chocolate Ice Cream

*Floating. In the summer I like to get out in the pool - no nothing fancy, large kids pool lol - get out the lounger and just float in the sun. I'll get all relaxed, in a dreamy cool space feeling the warmth on my skin.... Then the neighbors three dobermans start yappin and bring me back to reality. ::grumble::

:shk: Rocky Horror Picture Show :shk:

I don't really even like the movie but I just can't be around a TV when it's on and not watch some of it. Most of the time I will leave my house just to avoid it.

This is soooo embarassing.....

Brett Michaels and the bimbos on Rock of Love Tour Bus???
...I know....

History and Discovery channel junkie.

News Junkie- it could even be Faux news...doesnt matter...as long as its news...

Waits for husband to go to bed and then sneaks around the house looking for a snack, he must not hear me :shk: thats when i drop something every time in the kitchen floor...and its loud.

I watch tv, listen to shows on the Internet. surf the Internet and talk on the phone at the same time. My husband fires a warning shot.

Life goes on after HE goes to bed.

Hmmm........

--BTS: well, I don't really feel guilty, but the family tries to make me feel guilty.

--Hypnotiq: which I don't feel quilty about at all, it's just how much of it I drink that makes me feel guilty. Well, not really, I might have felt guilty but I don't remember.

--Ladies nights out: I have nothing to add here.

--Straightening my hair: or should I say the amount of time I spend on it. Which is about the time it would take to rotate two loads of laundry, load the dishwasher and vaccum. Guilty as charged.

--That one thing: I'll just leave that alone.

--That other thing: which I only feel a little guilty about.

(totally in denial) Rush

Nothing hits the spot for me quite like a nice bourbon after a hard day at work.

Usually on the rocks, sometimes with a twist of lime.

I have NO guilty pleasures. I accept that I like alot of stuff that's bad for me. So I'm not guilty of over indulgence of said stuff, cos I've already given myself the excuse to have as much of what ever it is as i want, by acknowlaging that I am but a man, with needs and wants.

Go me.

Hey Ya'll

Oh gosh, guilty pleasures.. I have so many!!

1- Junk food!! Pizza from the deli at Costco- its soooooo good, sweet cream flavor ice cream, cokes- all kinds of cokes like pepsi and cherry coke. And of course, brownies fresh from the oven with a HUGE glass of milk!

2- Purses! Coach, Dior, Dooney, Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren. They are always gifts from my parents, but I totally baby the purses. The shelves in the guest room are lined with my purses. They are all in the little cloth they came in, filled with tissue paper and a lavendar pouch and when I am done using one for a while, I put it back all perfect. I am sure when the baby comes I'll neglect them!

3- Prenatal massages!

4- Getting my hair done, doing it myself.

5- Watching One Tree Hill and The OC reruns

6- Celeb gossip

7- ATS/BTS... its my secret guilty pleasure!!

Hmmmf, that's what I get for reading threads like this. I end up indulging in one.

1) Ice cream. Yes that's what I'm indulging in right now as a result of this. (chuckle)

2) Gerry Anderson TV productions (Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, yes even that horrible Space 1999 (Love the Eagle though)) Thunderbirds is my favorite.

3) Sid and Marty Kroft. In particular Land of the Lost. Unfortunately I hear that they are going to make a movie of it. ..... a Comedy :bnghd: :bnghd: :bnghd:

4) Using Massive overkill in a video game. Like dropping a Nuke on a single enemy Infantry man. (C&C2)

5) In a similar vein, making myself invulnerable in Doom 2 and cutting Demons apart with a chain saw. Very stress reducing.

6) 1940's style pulp Science Fiction.

7) Grade B movies that are so awful that they are great!!

There are others I'm sure that I'll be adding to this list later on. I'm a Kid at heart and never truly grew up! hehe

I know I'm sad but there's somethin really addictive about it

And I normally don't watch any sort of reality tv.
Just love this one
Oh and "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" follow it--double sad whammy !!!
Please forgive me

Ditto, I dig my bourbons man. Big Time.

I have a bottle of (small batch) Pappy Van Winkle (20yr) I've been nursing for 4 months now. Cost me 2o0 bananans.

Otherwise it's (nice smoky) Blanton's.....or Maker's. YummY.

BTW, next time you have a Jack Daniels (neat, not dilluded) take a whiff?
Seriously? What fruit?
I tell ya' smells just like bananas.

I'm in the Wine Industry so.......wines. All about burgundies.
Corton Charlemagnes for whites, & Morey St. Denis for reds.

Nutella. Hmmmm.

Spending money on crap. I swear I could walk in Walgreens @ 2am and buy $60 worth of NOTHING! Like lawn chairs candy and band aids.

Good books. Love it when you can't put em' down.

Documentaries.

Music. All day.... And day. Still live for shows and catching good DJ sets...

Sex.

City Life and diligence. (Moving back to East Coast next month.)

Old skool sneakers.

ANd Bananas. I just like saying it. "That's Banannas"
