But is this thread really about that? Girls are girls, Women are Women. There's a difference. In this country, in both sexes, adolescence is stretched to the age of 35. We have poor education, territorial mindsets, we have all kinds of divisive prejudices, and both are guilty. Therein lies the crux of this whole argument and how stupid it really is. We should be working to better ourselves and by extension each other. Instead we are attempting to subvert each other into subservience, we are repeating the mistakes of sexual subjugation under misguided cries of "oppression" by the hand of some elusive female authoritarian. It is paranoia, it is a fear of equality not the embrace of it that drives this debate so far.

Your heart and it's insignificant pains are of little consequence to the real issue here.

I don't understand what the big fuss is all about. I always place women on a pedestal. OK, so perhaps it makes it easier to look up their skirts, but seriously, my mother was a woman and as they are the only ones who can nurture a life within them, they deserve a bit of special attention.

That being said, do not make the mistake of thinking that Men and Women are equal. It is a lie. Men and women are DIFFERENT, but should have equal rights. That goes both ways and the court system needs some work in that respect.

For the fool that stated that Men are ALWAYS responsible for their actions.... Nonsense! I know plenty of men who are total idiots and treat women like dirt for no other reason than their own small and fragile egos. I seriously suspect that the OP has insecurity issues if he is truly afraid of women today. There is nothing more glorious than a strong and confidant woman by your side.... or whatever position you prefer.

The truth is that women hold up half the sky, but get less than half the pay for twice the work. Think that isn't true??? Take a step outside the industrialized world and see for yourself. The go tell your mother that she is a lesser person than you are.

Boy, I hate when they come on and literally dissect every last sentence and then respond. For all of those in the future, please read all of my posts in the aforementioned text before painting this particular part of the forum with your diatribe. Everything this woman just asked in a fit of rage is covered, if even subtly, it the discussions made before her acute anatomization of my initial text. To answer her questions in a nutshell.....Yes, I have a big problem with what Obama did there with creating that council for women only and read the previous texts to gather why. Try taking off the rose-colored glasses of the perfect world of feminism to understand it though. Everything seems to be an attack when everything is going your way and someone else threatens that safety and existence. There is no deficit of attacks here from women, when I am just trying to make a point. Some come on and attack over nonsensical things that don't even pertain to this post. Just to attack my textual misspellings or something...this tells me that I am on the right track. I hit a nerve and those who are part of a conspiracy are always threatened when someone shines a light on their darkness. Please read my posts in entirety before responding with an itinerary of lengthy offenses.

Being a subservient or abusive idiot does not absolve one of his/her responsibility. If you keep going for the same type for instance, and you get cheated on every time, whose fault is it? Yours or theirs? At what point do you change your criteria, at what point do you renegotiate and reorganize your priorities in order to find someone honest, loving and nurturing?

I speak entirely from experience. Not showing up for your own life does not free you of the consequences of your choices.

what i meant to say...when man makes mistakes he gets fired..no one helps him.
when girl makes mistakes,she can be let go just couse shes a women and shes emotional..or pretty..TRY TO EXPlAIN THIS!

If you read some of my posts, this is the very issue I take with him. He addresses the issue with assumption and blanket statements and never actually crystallizes whatever point he is trying to make.

There is a wealth of 'already covered' content in the previous texts.....we have covered this so many times already. We get it.......most men are pushovers and fall at the feet of every beautiful woman that walks past them. They think if a woman even talks to them that the woman WANTS them...and as we have discussed....you are the real problem. For if it wasn't for men who "put women on a pedestal" effectively ascending them to a plateau of higher status than YOU (a man).....we wouldn't have this problem that is right in front of our eyes....that every man is too distracted to see because his head is always turned at the tip of a hip.They are saying the holocaust never happened.....did it? They are saying the Freemasons don't rule the world. Do they? The Illuminati doesn't exist. Does it? NASA isn't covering up anything. Are they? No one can seem to see how effective it is to claim tat something is NOT happening when, in the face of evidence, it clearly is. It is also hard to gain support for these causes when there are councils that are created (in favor of one entity, in this case a Council for Women only) to call you a conspiracy theorist, crazy, and has gov't funding to help their cause to keep it a secret. Even worse is the men who fall for this again and again and again. To answer the woman with the extremely long dissection of my initial texts...Yes, I would love to see a Council for the betterment of men because truly.....I WOULD CALL THAT EQUALITY! It seems a bit off-balanced at the moment, don't you think? Of course you don't agree, ..it, once again, is in the favor of women only.

Yes, well I couldn't quite pinpoint what his actual stance was or why, the vagueness was becoming rather tiresome which is why I asked for clarification. Afterall, this is ATS and intelligent discussion is what I thought the goal was.

The point is simple. If there is a feminism to help women who are clearly running amok over and beyond the watered down version of the man they have created today...you know the metro-sexual, who is just as much a woman as they, yet with no benefits. I think it is time for a movement of either MASCULINISM to counter balance the obvious imbalance of human rights or a fe-MAN-ism movement where there is true equality and not just the illusion of one.

Someone finally understands what I say. Why would they get so upset if there was a MAN movement? Because it would take away their 'ever increasing, snowball effect' of advantages that they are now accruing. This guy get's it. If you are going to call it equality....then the actions and benefits should be a derivative of the title.......EQUAL.

Women and feminism didn't create the "Metro-Sexual" it is a personal preference. The pacifying of the male figure in the United States is a product of generations of primitive "Us vs. Them" mentalities such as that which you advocate. A Men Rights group. When we should just be focusing on HUMAN rights.

1. I did not insinuate that you were not intelligent - if that is what you "read into" my post, then that is not my problem. It became solely your problem when you put those words into my mouth and tried to twist them into being something entirely different.

2. By "Intelligent conversation" - perhaps I should have been more specific. It's one thing to spout your opinions, it is an entirely different matter to address them and back them up with facts, and sources.

Do I respect your opinion? Yes, but (there is always a but) I want to understand the reasoning behind your opinion.

Wait...... Did I just see someone question why it isn't OK to hit women????? Ever hear of picking on someone your own size?? In general Women are physically weaker than Men. Is it Ok for the big guy to only pick fights with the little guy? I have never seen a bully pick on a woman more physically fit than he is. Everyone knows that bullies are cowards anyway. Anyone who resorts to violence is a loser and just because a woman may slap you, doesn't make it OK to hit back. Simply be the bigger person and walk away.

As for me "putting women on a pedestal"... it was a figure of speech. I do not worship women with blind abandon. I respect anyone who deserves it male or female. I am not such a slave to my hormones that a pretty female will turn my head around backwards so that I will fall over myself in trying to please her. At the same time, I will be a gentleman in all my dealings with women. The measure of respect a man gives others is a reflection on his personal graces. There is nothing wrong with treating a lady with respect. If she choses to dishonor it, the reflection is on her, and not on the one who showed her respect. Given your attitude, I wonder how you treat your mother?

This one man battle is making me weary. I will retire for the night. Hopefully we can get past all of this female diatribe and find some real men out there that can see what I am saying without either defending the 'supermodel in their head that they envision as they ride in on their white horse to save her' or the obvious blind ....maybe some men out there who have actually had women to take them to court or withhold their children from them or undeserved alimony advances or sleeping with your friends for an obvious attempt to manipulate both men into fighting over them for their own vanity and drama.Men who have lost jobs simply because the woman was more pleasing to look at than you, etc. (No this is not why I'm defending men....to all you women who are looking for a quick exploit)....We've heard the women and the men who the women have turned into women.....now let's hear some REAL men speak up, not cowards who bow to the stiletto heels.
