I have no doubt is was done intentionally. TPTB love the bird flu, it's one of their greatest fear weapons.

My mother works in a bank and they had an Illuminati magician come in one day and tell them how "it's not if bird flu gets here, it's when". He even had the balls to tell them about safe ways to travel to and from work when it occurs.

Apparently, he seemed disappointed when the workers informed him that if there was an outbreak, they wouldn't be coming in at all.
