Boy wins rights to tropical island in lottery

We could all do with a holiday but how’s your luck with this one?

A 4-year-old boy has won the use of an uninhabited tropical island, with white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters, in a Taiwan lottery aimed at boosting spending during an economic downturn.

I just can’t imagine a 4 year old boy rocking up to the newsagent and buying the tickets with his pocket money. I don’t know about the laws where you live but in my neck of the woods he’s to young to gamble and too young to know what the global meltdown is about.

Anyone tell me how buying a lottery ticket and giving money back to the government helps the economy. To stimulate we need to buy stuff to get business going.
