There are only four people that I trust in this field and even then I still approach them with a careful eye:
Dr James E. McDonald,
Bruce
Maccabee,
Brad Sparks, and
Leslie Kean. Unfortunately James is dead, but what he's left behind is top notch
science. None of the bull-crap you get with the other credentialed scientists studying Ufology.
Jacques Vallee is pretty interesting. He's more of a theoretical Ufologist than a brass tacks field investigator looking for "alien proof." He has
some compelling thoughts that are easily worth reading.
Friedman isn't as much of a shill as people make him out to be. The guy just gets a lot of flak, because he broke Roswell and now it's an entrenched
battle with various government agencies that won't be sorted out any time soon. He also pushed the MJ-12 papers which have since been proven
fraudulent, but he's still adamant that this isn't the case even though
William Moore admitted
that he had worked hand-in-hand with military intelligence during the 1980's and disseminated disinformation (the MJ12 papers specifically) in
an attempt to get on the inside of the military's knowledge of UFOs (read Greg Bishop's book
Project Beta
for a better treatment of this particular subject).
I'm deeply skeptical of Bill Cooper. There are also a number of
major curiosities with Lazar
that make me back away from him.
My best advice is read
this. That's the best information anyone's going to get on
the subject of UFOs. I'm not even going to broach abductions, because there are very few cases that are corroborated by radar. Interestingly though
the first publicly known case, Betty and Barney Hill, was supposedly tracked at a nearby AFB.
