Short lovey poem for everyone to see

Promises too big to keep
Something in you speaks to me
A trust that goes so deep
Farther than I could ever see.

Doing that which we do best
Nothing new under this sun
We're no better than the rest
Sudden it seems: the good guys won

With you It's never ugly
As you stand before me
beside me Whole and fully
and we let ourselves be

We've gotten life to the letter
Honestly we've felt joy true
Still there's nothing better
Than knowing the real you

And I'll never ask you
for more than the moment
I'll love you forever
And always show it.

Well written! I hope you will add more poems here, and maybe someday I'll be able to change from my current style to something more like this

this reads beautifully, a wee bit more so when backdropped with the song "Respect the Wind"(from the twister soundtrack).
