Okay where exactly do you live?
What dimension?

Those images do not look like any animals in nature I have ever seen and I used to live in the woods. I'm not sure what those images are but bird doesn't jump to my mind unless the camera is somehow self-editing most of it's body on some sort of glitch.

Now I'd listen if you went "hoax" but "goose"?
That's one helluva wishbone for Christmas dinner you got there.

I watched the video and it looks like some of the early attempts at animation that I experimented with in Jr. High. I definately think that this is a fake.

The first "being" seems to move around the lawn without walking. It just seems to move around. I think that this is a frame by frame animation and that the stick figure is being positioned between frames.

I think that the person who shot the video then looked at the results and realized that it didn't look right. So, it was reshot, this time they were carefull to show "legs" moving the stick figure.

The motion of the stick figure in the second video is a little better but the legs seem to change thickness as it moves, and the legs look like they are made out of sticks covered by some type of cloth. There are a couple of frames there, where the legs look just like cloth draped over a pair of crutches or an easel.

I also noticed that the time stamp on the video is a little inconsistant and it seems to run faster at times and then slows down. I think that this means that the time stamp was added after the video was shot.

I also don't think that the close ups of someone in an alien mask at the beginning and end of the video helps the credibility any. I don't know if that is part of the actual video or whether it was part of the lecturers material. Either way, it makes you think hoax from the beginning.

You said, "Was I the only one reminded of the old stop motion cartoons like Gumby and Pokey....LOL that second "being" was walking like a poorly animated Gumby."

I couldn't agree more! I gave you a star.

I definately think that the video is animation and not very good animation at that. Gumby was Emmy Award material compared to that video.

i'm kinda surprised at MUFON for giving this so much credence. with the amount of "fakery" taking place with new software, it's even more important to be vigilent and and have a more critical eye.

I totally agree with you on that jimmyx.

Well tomra it is a lecture at MUFON UFO Conference.

Both Jamime and Greer seem to have become total pushovers, with so MANY reputable witnesses and potogs and videos, why they suddenly seem to have veered off into the fruitloops categories is beyond me.

Yes,justgeneric I too have notice this and look upon them with caution these days.

This maybe the "Straw that breaks the back" sort of speak

Instead of ridiculing skeptical opinions of the video, why don't you tell us what you think it is?

I have asked UFOMediaMatters from UFO Media Matters the poster of the youtube video "Hey "Dead ET Walking"" to join us here at ATS for a discussion on his video hopefully with answers to things like his txt info "......he doesn't seem to want to give up the video. MUFON did an explanation but no conclusion one way or the other."

Interesting, does this mean UFOMediaMatters has approached MUFON for the actual footage?

Hopefully UFOMediaMatters will join us,I had a two way contact with him this morning about another video(he replys
) since than I decided to start this discussion.Only sent invite now so be patient folks

It's really too bad that they are showing a video of a video - I mean come on even a copy of the original would have been much better.

However I have seen some strange looking objects while up in the mountains that I swear were moving similarly, but I never had video of them. When I saw them they looked like trees, yet when I felt an eerie presence I turned around and it was as if the trees had walked. I just figured I must be tired and hallucinating, but now that I saw this video - it's got me thinking.

Weird, just plain weird.

What if their are alien life forms that are some sort of chameleons that can blend in with objects around them. They could move very swiftly when we aren't looking, but lie as still as a tree when we do. Something to think about anyway.

To me, at point 3:55 on the video the figure seems to lose track of its shadow. (Peter Pan alien). Again with the second one at 4:31 the shadow seems of be out of sync, perhaps it’s another light source shifting it but... If the figure had risen then it would have looked more convincing to me.

I think it is the same thing in this video, whatever it is..

And, why can´t it be something we never seen before
and therefore don´t understand the way this things move?

ok now this looks really weird but the question is why didn't he take the original security video or a copy of it and show it to the people

just wondering

The first guy has no legs as far as I can tell.

The second guy is ONLY legs... and walks along the exact path of the first

"What do you mean you forgot to sync the 2 halves of the movie?? Oh, never mind, add some shadow and that's creepy enough..."

Basic, bad animation IMO. Get a copy of Flash and do it yourself... just remember once you have your movement to fit all the pieces together!!

The other video's interesting though... at least there is one positive here.

Perhaps because the owner is going to make more money by selling the original later while providing a video of a video for now.

MUFON clearly do not think too much of the video or else they would have purchased the rights to the video themselves.

They didn't, or haven't yet, so they can't be too convinced by it.

Oh great. A copy of a copy, that's real convincing right there.

If home security footage aint crappy enough, they've got to try and pass off a copy of that copy with an equally crappy copy home video recording, by someone in the audience who cant even hold a camera straight?

And I'm supposed to believe what exactly?

It almost looked the the 2nd 'thing' was twist walking -- like it would turn 180 degrees and step forward with the leg that would spin forward...

Anyway, after watching the video I immediately thought of this creature that was featured on the front page of the Coast to Coast website on March 6, 2009:

picture

The event happened spring/2008. My father-in-law's brother was driving late at night in rural Jiquilpan, Michoacan, Mexico. Something flew into his truck and this creature in the picture is what it was. He took the body to my father-in-law's house where they decided to cut it open and let it dry out to preserve it.

Yowzer, good find atrofi.

In the original video I was wondering whether the first creature was perhaps a terrestrial animal viewed straight on. I thought that it could have been a lemur or and anteater. The long body of the being could have been the creatures tail and the thicker lower body could have been the creatures torso and legs viewed head on. Just before the creature steps out of view I thought that I could see some details at the top of the creature, on its face if it is a bipedal humanoid. It could have been a camera glitch, but it looks kinda like eyes or something.

The second creature is much weirder, and looks just like the being in atrofi's youtube link. I wonder whether this is a new type of visitor that is showing an interest in our planet. I hope so because they look pretty cool.

lol, sorry to be off topic, but that is quite obviously one of these fish cut up...

www.youtube.com...

back on topic though, I have to agree that it struck me as animation when I first saw it. It is also very strange that he was video recording the monitor? Why not just show the original copy?

Clearly this is a weather balloon. More likely 2 weather balloons tied together floating in from the north.

Anyway, was this taken in Mexico or something? Can you trust mexicans in mexico? Aren't they masters of unexplained hoaxes?

The other problem is that this is a copy of a copy of a copy. I think. So thats as useful as tits on a bull really. Meaningless until you can see the original file/tape.

Assuming this IS real, it looks pretty awesome and I wouldn't even begin to try to assume what on (or off) earth it might be.

Come on...I can't believe MUFON endorsed this...

So fake...

I really don't know what to make of this video.

For the most part I rely on my own perceptions and experiences to form understanding of our current situation. So, I cannot say the lack of validation from this video changes any of that for me personally.

Nonetheless, still very interesting.
