Who here is/was know someone that is Rosicrucian?

What are your thoughts on that fraternity?

After reading "Wisdom of Mystic Masters" I became even more interested in the healing, prayer, thought, psychic energy, etc... that rosicrucians study.

Is AMORC a good 'organization' to join?

I'm one step back on joining organizations because If I seek mastery of life, I also seek independence.

It seems alot of it really is stemming from philosophy and Buddhism, maybe Zoroastrianism.
I guess in those days Christianity was kind of a must, and these people didn't want to go along with the norm.
So they developed ways to do there own thing in secret.
If you ask me most of the people who do things like this, are extremely confused people.

The "real" Rosicrucians may never have even existed. The movements origin was in late-medieval Germany, with the publication of three books claiming to be by the group, and the appeance of a number of mysterious posters and announcements that the group was seeking "like-minded individuals" for membership. No address was given -- presumably they would find you rather than visa-versa. In the centuries since then, this "secret society" has captured the imagination of many people and there have been dozens if not hundreds of groups claiming to be Rosicrucians, but none of them can be proven to be related to the original movement (which itself was likely just the imaginary brainchild of one or a few creative dreamers).
