The unemployment rate is currently at 8.1% so it won't matter for long who's making a profit off of who. The stock market is down 30% in the last two months so nobody is making much of a profit anywhere. The DOD has issued a warning about impending violence due to unemployment and lower food supplies.

Like i said in another thread about three months ago we don't have much time left to prepare. Even a blind man can see that i'm right.

one point, there's gonna be many people earlier on besides us who will see the need to leave the cities before things really start to deteriorate. These exoduses will cause strain on food and resources in the outlying rural areas . Here in Ontario your not going to want to go to cottage country, unless your going 2 to3 hundred km from the major cities.

Well for the prepared folks they cached some long term long shelf life
food back when things started to vaguely resemble a stock market
crash and the headlines of today looked a lot like 1929.

For long term though it will be rabbit stew if you remember to
look for tularemia on the internal organs with a mask on.

For those who have a lot of white seeded amaranth they can eat
that and will surely get tired of it, but can trade it with other ppl.

Some will have bought heirloom seed kits and will have a wide
variety of veggies to eat.

As I live in Oklahoma I have no problem finding deer away from
the cities and that is not bad eating.

We also have some HUGE lakes here with loads of fish.

I will be doing the lazy man's fishing with trout lines and jug lines.

Snares also will get you some food. but they are illegal unless you
are in a survival situtation.

My weapons are 30-06, .22 LR, .45 ACP so I can defend myself
and take down big and small 4 legged game.

If I want some bird meat I can just set a cage trap baited with some
tasty seed.

Good Luck to you all !

The U3 unemployment rate is 8.1%, the U6 is much higher than
that and some ppl say double that.

Wikipedia has an article on the U3 and U6 explanations.

Also the phrase do not put all your eggs in one basket comes to mind.

Hide your caches in different areas, don't bury it all in one area.

Bury some under a bridge that crosses a creek that stays low water
90% of the year, and bury it in a water tight container.

Bury some out in some woods that are state, city, or federal land
and has not been touched since you have been alive.

Bury some in a rocky area where it looks like it would be hard to bury it.

Make sure and cover any traces of your burying.

Try to use all plastic or non metal materials so it will not show up
on a metal detector.

You do not need to cache several tons of food.

You do want to cache a lot of seeds though, but again no need for
tons of it. I'd cache about 3 times what you think you might need
in case you are followed and robbed at one of your cache sites.

Good Luck to you all !

The peeps think they can bug out to the hills? LOL
The critters will be long gone by the time the sheeple realize it!!!
Better buy food and grow food in pots in your apartment.
The rural folk will be expecting you..............

No the critters won't be gone. But those of us that already live in the sticks will be protecting our food sources.
