Like a soldier on a foreign beach,
sightless eyes staring across the ocean,
towards home with a crystalline sodium tear.
I stare out towards our future and pray,
that this has all not been for nothing.

What lumbering beast approaches our shores,
with heart full of malice and eyes full of hate.
Or are they here already, moving among us,
are we them and do not know it?
Look in the mirror and see the silent threat.

Close your eyes as the reflection is blinding,
but the truth is left like flashes in the darkness.
We are the beast and we lumber ever forward,
on towards our own ignorant destruction.
Because truth is our enemy and ignorance our god.
