The Thule society had many members and a huge following. According to Lovecraft, he believed his own stories and thought that he wrote some form of
truths involving the demise of mankind. What if, through occult actions and the Thule Society, H.P. Lovecraft ended up being a harbinger for a giant
cephalopodan creature of death living on the floor of the Pacific ocean. Lovecraft did also say there would be many cult followings devoted to
Cthulhus resurrection.
Take into consideration the 'Bloop'. A noise made from a giant "animal" living on the bottom of the Pacific. This animal has been said to be,
based on the locations of reported sounds, many times bigger than anything we have ever documented. This includes all forms of whales. The noise also
sounds like nothing that has ever been documented. The 'Bloop' has signified that something monstrous lives in the depths of the ocean very close to
the location given to us for Cthulhu by Lovecraft.
