A sad day indeed. I've been reading the Rocky Mountain News for a long time.

One never thinks that a major newspaper wouldn't be able to make it through these tough times, but I believe this is a sign a things to come.

Here is an example of a company that has been buying things on credit, and that is ultimately unsustainable.

How many more are to come?

It saddens me as well that these old institutions are failing in these times of economic crisis.

But it is to be expected. With the rise of the internet and a lessened need for paper news, it has become increasingly harder for news papers to sell the amount they need.

I do submit though, it is always a good feeling to hold that piece of paper in your hands and read though it.

A Sad Day Indeed.
