I find this pretty bizarre. It is a story on that old 70's fad of backmasking claims. But the weirdest thing is the source of this bizarre piece. It seems to be a Seattle-centric webzine attempting to appeal to ordinary people. But they cover "exopolitics." Too silly. But I thought I'd share it here on ATS. Seemed like the right thing to do. The reason I found it was actually a Google News alert on "depleted uranium" which also means this Seattle Examiner site is listed in Google News. Hmmn.

Part V of a series of investigative articles on the Obama administration, the United Nations, and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and extraterrestrial life

Fresh from his first visit to Ottawa, Canada on February 19, 2009, U.S. president Barack Obama faces new challenges to any plans for disclosure by his administration of an extraterrestrial presence visiting earth or of U.S. secret human-extraterrestrial liaison programs Canadian speech recognition expert and former CBS radio producer Jon Kelly has subjected a recording of Barack Obama’s inaugural address on the steps on the U.S. capitol on January 20, 2009 to reverse speech analysis.

Kelly’s reverse speech analysis (see below), shows that Barack Obama’s inaugural address contains secret messages predicting an extraterrestrial event of global impact on the scale “of the Iraq war” to occur in Obama’s term of office. Elected in 2008, Obama may serve until January 20, 2013 or January 20, 2017, if re-elected to a second term.

I don't understand the correlation between the existence of ET and the scale of the Iraq war.

Surely ET existence would have much greater implications for the world than most, if not all, of the wars we've had?

How the hell would Obama know the power of "alien schnauzers"?! Everyone knows the greater power of alien pit bull terriers!

'Reverse speech' Thats when you should have realised it was pure bull.

Not everything on the google news search is accurate. and just because someone made an article online does not mean it is true.

I remember this one guy on an old TV variety show who was able to sing a song backwards. Then when they played it backwards, it sounded perfect, like he was singing the song. A really amazing gift, but must have taken years of practice.

But when he sung it backwards it sounded like gibberish, so i have a hard time with reverse speech.

Because really if he is speaking normally forward, anything that "appears" to sound like something when played backwards is pure coincidence.

All these backwards speech videos...try listening to them without watching the video to tell you what is allegedly being said, you won't hear squat.

You only hear it after it's pointed out. At least I don't.

Anyhow straight forward NLP is far more effective than reverse speech.

The problem with that is it doesn't explain how the first person noticed it.

The first person noticed it because they were looking for any pattern that sounded something like a real english word -- and they found one. It is not just a figment of someone's imagination; it does really sound like Obama is saying "alien schnauzers". However, that doesn't make it any less 'coincidencidental'.

I can look in the sky and say that a cloud looks like a dragon...but that's not purely in my own mind only; other people may see the exact same "dragon shape" that I see in the exact same cloud. That doesn't make it any more real.

Just because we all agree that the word coincedentally sound like that doesn't make it any more real...we all have human brains that look for/listen for familiar patterns.
