Are they serious?! What a bunch of twaddle. Blatantly insults those witness's both civilian and military who have witness with their own eyes craft that do not behave like jets in any way shape or form. According to the bozo's who made that book, its all a mass hallucination? I think they are the ones on crack. Utter nonsense.

yes im afraid the description of a "saucer" is a figment of peoples imagination and shows the power of suggestion in all its glory.

When kenneth arnold claimed he saw strange craft while flying in june 1947 he described them as crescent shaped craft like a half moon not saucers. But in his article the reporter described them as "saucers" when arnold himself actaully said their movement was " like saucers skipping across a lake"

do you really think the aliens would change the design of their craft to conform to the reporters mistake? or the reporter got incredibly lucky and actually described what these alien spaceships look like by accident? Well the name "saucer" stuck anyway

from then on if people saw soemthing they couldnt ID it suddenly became a "saucer" to this day yoiu have people seeing "saucers" . Reinforced by film, books & tv "saucers" are what people think they should see. A classic case of the power of suggestion.

So really you have a sloppy reporter to thank for the modern "flying saucer"

were they saucer shaped?

its also intersting you use the term "ufo" as a substitute for alien spaceship. I thought a ufo stood for unidentified flying object

flying saucer is not UFO : is identified

somewhat simplistic reasoning

My thoughts exactly.

Glad to see someone share the same viewpoint!

Colonel Gordon Cooper (astronaut), Lonnie Zamora (police officer), Betty and Barney Hill (social worker and postal worker), numerous Air Force and commercial pilots from around the world...

I guess all the really good sightings are just imagination. I also would hazard a guess that all the radar confirmations are also just false readings. The infamous Summer of Saucers in 1952 was also figments of President Truman's imagination.

Another flawed argument to try to solve all the sightings out there.

it only proves ignorance of the subject that only certain sum to an illusion that is simply not knowing the subject
the illusion is possible, the error also
but we explain that this is an peoples imagination and shows the power of suggestion is absurd

So, the Foo Fighters were some Hollywood stunt also? These people even went back in time and took Elijah with them for a ride. The UK are using a police box, which apparently has more room.
There were also stories of WW2 of some competition with these fake craft by the Nazis that were probably balloons?
Some of them did look like they were made of cloth. Naziwood.
