there's already a thread on this. The Mods felt the need to burry it deep in Belowtopsecret.com in "A Place To Make Posts Of An Unrelated Nature" because I guess it was to conterversical for this forum. But than again 54 posts and 763 views in 5 hours shows that people were intrested in the topic at least.

The only reason there are terrorist attacks on the USA is because of the US foreign policy, if the US stayed out of the Israeli conflict, or at least made it a fair fight instead of funding the aggressors, if the US stoppped imposing its fake values on everyone else... then maybe the 'terrorists' would leave you alone!

As for Israel having as much right to be there... i agree if they stayed in the lands they were allocated, instead of then going ahead and seizing more and bulldozing peoples houses without warning, or killing 30 civilians to get to one guy who may or may not be in hamas... Israel is a corrupt terror state who can do what they like coz America is on their side... everyone remembers how at school there was the big bully who everyone hated but couldnt do anything about... then there was his friend everyone hated as well... now the friend was always a wiener but he had backing from the bully so he could do anything... everyone hated him more... he is Israel.

And christianity and freedom should never be used in the same sentence unless the words, never, not, cannot or something similar is involved...

Christianity has the worst track record for atrocities, and even though its not so bad now... it still does not give freedom... anything that tells you how to live your life (religion) is restricting your freedom..

And for the record the palestinians learnt their terror tricks from the Israelis (i.e the kind david hotel bombings etc etc...)

Terrorism is defined as:

The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

This is not a concept which can be rooted from any particular history. As with almost every event it is multi causeal. This definition could be applied to street gangs asking for protection money. They are intimidating society.

Terrorism goes right back to the roots of the first urban settlements. Look at Sumeria where the Sumerians were frequently attacked by 'Barbarian' hordes from the desert. Were these terrorists? Using the above definition you could.

If we want to know the roots of the current terrorism we need to be specific about Extreme Islamic Terrorism and not terrorism in general.
