There have been very unusual Earthquakes happening, in some very strange places over the last month. But today, I noticed on the USGS map, some more very odd placed quakes. Look at the one in Alabama,

New Jersey, sure has been getting their share of earthquakes in the last few days.

There were also quite a few of odd ones last month - the main thing I noticed during last months quakes, is the arc going across the bottom of the U.S.

Besides that, it seems the Caribbean area is being overlooked - in the amount of Earthquakes that have been happening down there, off Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

I looked at the history of the area - 8 years ago they had an average of 352 quakes a year, which it steadly climbed to over 900 in 2002 - which is the last year they have posted as a quanity per year.

So far in one month's time they have already had 194 quakes - the average seems to have been around the 3.0M.

I lived in the Virgin Islands from the 70's until the 90's, and only once was there an earthquake that was felt, we did not have them often. So, what is going on there?

Below shows is the picture just for the quakes of during the last week there

Quakes have also been happening in odd places in the world, but also, the main thing I am seeing about quakes, they are getting bigger in magnatude as swarms.

An interesing article came out the other day, saying Yellowstone may be what is causing some of the unusual quakes happening.

link: www.trib.com...

Looking at the EQ map, there have been numerous earthquakes in the surrounding states of Montana, this article explains those and mentions the temp differences in the water, from the south of the lake to the north of the lake.

The gradual uplift of Yellowstone National Park's caldera is pushing the earth's crust southwest along the Snake River Plain, affecting much of the Great Basin.

"It adds energy to the whole system that we see," said Bob Smith, a University of Utah geophysicist who works with the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory. "It adds to the whole deformation and expands the Great Basin to the west."

One thing researchers found, in measuring water temperatures from the south end of the lake and comparing them with the north, where the earthquake activity occurred, was a heat fluctuation measured in milliwatts that ranged from 50 at the south to 30,000 near Fishing Bridge in the northeast.

"These are enormous numbers," he said, showing how closely aligned the quake swarm was with the lake's underwater geyser basin.

As to the movement of the earth's crust, Smith said researchers have found a push west of 4 millimeters, or .16 inch, a year. Although he said that may not sound like much, the movement from Yellowstone across the entire Great Basin to Reno, Nev., is only 12 millimeters a year. So, one-third of the entire shift is occurring in a very small area of about 80 kilometers, he said.

As the crust is pushed, Smith said, geophysicists are seeing a clockwise rotation of the different tectonic plates across the interior of the West.

"Yellowstone affects a much bigger area, 10 times as big as Yellowstone Park," Smith said. "So it plays a major role in the plate tectonics framework

Implying that Yellowstone is affecting the plates around the whole area, but also elsewhere too. So the question is, could Yellowstone be what is causing all the odd quakes around the U.S. and the large quakes around the world, by pushing them in it's expansion?

I noticed too! NJ is an odd one but I guess in the grand scheme of things it has happened before. The Carribean - well there could be an underwater volcano making some noise and in Alabama that is the New Madrid fault line.

Besides all the quakes going on in Utah.

Some strange things are still happeniing.

I believe there are many things about the movement of our planet that are unknown. One thing could have an effect on several. For example, the volcanoes which are erupting could have an effect on the earthquake faults and the earthquake in Alabama could be related to the tornado they just had. Who knows whether the pressure originates in the atmosphere or the earth's core. Is the core effecting the atmosphere, or the atmosphere effecting the core?

The ring of fire has been quite restless lately, but I predict it'll be something minor in New York and something big in Niigata, Japan.

questioningall, how do you come up with all this stuff. Do you scour the internet all day?

Hi QA.

The majority of EQs are noted around the areas that are causing them. I know this is a touchy subject for some but in Alaska we have the HAARP txtr, in the Puerto Rico area we have the Aericebo Antenna. Both are used for EQ creation as is described by the Patent that is filed for the txtrs.

For each EQ HAARP causes, one is felt in the Alaskan region where HAARP is located. The txtr can be noted operational during the majority of the destructive quakes we've had in recent years, even during some of the most devastating hurricanes.

Rgds
