What is this?? Illuminated Chemtrail??

I took this picture almost a year ago and totally forgot it was in my phone until yesterday when I was organizing all my junk on my phones media card.

So one day I was taking my kids to school in the morning and I looked up and saw something weird. I don't know if it's a chemtrail or cloud or what but it was lit up. It was not moving at all and the color just stayed lit the whole time I was at the stop light. At first I was just watching it in awe and then it hit me I better take a picture.

So does anyone have a logical explaination for this? Could the sun do this to the clouds? I have never seen that happen before.

Looks like a regular contrail that had ice crystals formed in it causing a rainbow looking reflection. That would be my guess.

I live in Tennessee and I seen a cloud that looked exactly the same this morning. Just a strip of cloud with the tip multicolored like a rainbow. I just played it off as moister breaking up the light.

a rainbow can only be viewed/formed when the sun is exactly behind the perspective of view of the refractive material such as water vapour,thats why rainbows cannot be seen from all directions and dont happen all the time.it must be exact.

as you can see the sun is way off to the left of being directly behind therefore its impossible for this to be created by the rainbow phenomenon.
