two stars over lake ontario

Anyone see the two stars, or bright lights I should say, just off of Sirius down and left of Orion tonight? We came home in Durham Region east of Toronto about 6:45 and I was looking at Venus and Orion while coming in with the baby and wife, and as we put her to bed upstairs (she fell asleep in the van) we both looked out the window and noticed these two "stars" that were not there a minute earlier. We went out front and facing south watched them slowly moving and then after about 30 seconds one faded out and then the other followed. Weird! Called the police and that area is restricted no fly zone as it was directly over the Darlington Nuclear plant. Anyone else see this???
