now its over 15 years since i last dived - and then it was beewax or nothing , nowadays there are a whole range of [ mostly silicone based] protucts availiable
why are they better ? beeswax works - but its fiddly to apply , and the new stuff is just one wipe and done - or at least claims to be
so , any one have any opinions / reccomendations ?

I have a bottle of stuff I scrounged off a diver and it says its got silicone and PTFE in it, my neighbour who works on the north sea oilrigs says he used something called dry PTFE ?
