UFO photographed over Great Bowden UK

This object was captured next to a rail line over Great Bowden in the UK. It appears kind of saucer shaped, flying above the trees at a fair distance.

It was taken with a digital camera last summer by a railway enthusiast, who only noticed the object while downloading the picture to his computer. The mystery photographer was initially reluctant to send the picture to The Mail but was recently persuaded to by a friend, who allowed us to reproduce the photograph on the agreement that both would remain anonymous.

It's slightly odd that they wish to remain anonymous, perhaps there's a genuine reason for it though.

He goes on to say:

"I can say this though – the original picture is genuine and hasn't been messed with.

Can anyone prove him a liar? Or even better come up with a decent explanation? Or is this actually a good one we have here?

yes that is indeed an unidentified flying object, or a image artifact - alas it's not interesting or note worthy.

The image is too small to show that it's anything not of this earth, the guy didn't notice it at the time so it probably wasn't very interesting and he doesn't know if it actually existed. The blown up section with the color tone changed shows some splodges of color which again could be anything or nothing, blow up anything and play with the tone settings and you'll make some interesting shapes and patterns.

It's most likely a normal earth flying object or the density of the cloud causing an image artifact.

HI - i have taken the liberty of contacting mr Ian O`pray the journalist who wrote up the story - explaining abovetopsecret.com and requesting copies of the hi res origional files for further study

hopefully when he checks his email - he will get back to me and unless the people who took the pics have prohibited thier further dissemination - we might get the hi res pic to aid investigation

It seems a bit strange that someone would take Photo 1 not knowing the UFO was there. Why would someone have taken a photo with nothing to see?
