US Navy seizes 9 suspected pirates in Gulf of Aden

he U.S. Navy apprehended suspected pirates Thursday for a second consecutive day in the Gulf of Aden, a treacherous waterway between Somalia and Yemen where international forces have been battling pirates preying on commercial vessels.
The high-seas action came as a Ukrainian cargo ship laden with tanks and heavy weapons, which Somali pirates released last week after holding it for more than four months, docked at a Kenyan port.
The Navy said it responded Thursday to a distress signal from the Indian-flagged vessel Premdivya which said it was fired upon by men in a skiff who were trying to board their vessel.

The issue of the pirates have died down in mainstream news lately and so it seems that the multi-national anti-piracy issues are having a positive effect on curbing the hijackings.

My only concern is that the pirates have been taken into US custody and will be charged. Now that Guantanamo Bay has supposedly been closed where will these pirates be held and who will be prosecuting them.

I had the misfortune of watching The Road to Guantanamo last night - I say misfortune because I have always been a supporter of the US and always believed they were the "good guys" but after watching the video I found myself with a horrible sense of rage against Americans.
Now I know many if not most Americans are not like the ones depicted in the documentary but I was left wondering that if this is how I can be made to feel how would an Arab or Muslim feel? It's a scary thought.
