Here are some pics I took tonight of an object that seemed out of place near my home, I'm no image wizard so some help would be appreciated as well as possible explinations. I uploaded the images on imageshack so maybe someone could re size and post. The camera I used is a Nikon coolpix l18.I tried both zoom and no zoom, the third picture is the strangest as it appears to have multiple points of light, this object was not moving at all.

If you took the picture outside could it be that the flash bounced off of a moth or some other kind of bug. Not trying to bust your bubble just throwing in an possible explanation. If not that than I don’t know.

Looks to be a firefly. You know, a lightning bug.

I saw an orb exactly a week ago like that but i shot off to the south west and stayed hovering over the edge of town then descended, dont know what it was but it was no moth or swamp gas. Definitely a unidentified flying object. My theory is it is a drone or probe being used by a higher intelligence or government.

All, this object was far away and extremly bright I noticed it was not moving and "out of place" so I decided to watch it. The object appeared to me in the shape of a diamond however upon photographing it thats not the result. I know this was not a lightning bug because we don't have them in colorado and as it's cold out here right now the other buggies are tucked away. The object is clearly luminesint and thats what first caught my eye. The object has since left the area and is no longer visible to me.

Also the greenish/yellow color of the object on the pic's is not how the object appeared to me. The color was very vivid and white and would occasionaly pulse, I saw no evidence of the "blinkers" a plane uses, just light bright light.

Very interesting. "Luminescent, vivid, white, pulsate," those words combined with the photos lead me to think you've seen a real ufo orb.

I recently travelled through Texas, and saw lots of these. But they always had an explanation: distant tower, structure on a mountain reflecting setting sunlight, very distant traffic helicopter hovering over an accident, alien spacecraft, or even just a plane travelling away from you and reflecting the same sunlight I mentioned earlier. We were driving through New Mexico, leaving Roswell no less, and passed by a completely dark field. As we drove by, I'm just looking out the window and suddenly this bright light appears with a beam hitting the ground and illuminating a huge circle on the ground. It wasn't a ufo it was a parking lot light, the desert gets so dark so fats we couldn't even tell it was a parking lot.

Your orb could be any number of things, I hope it was a UFO, so it means something to you. You are obviously very excited about it. And rightly so. Keep watching, it may even come back!

That is interesting! Just be careful tho...the lens impurity teams are out in force today.

I have some photos, older photos taken with a polaroid 35mm camera in storage that has some similar orbs in it. I was out ghost hunting with some friends who were members of a local ghost hunting club and we all got some very interesting photos that night.

This occured in a cemetary, at about 1am in the morning. We even had special police escort for the hunt. One of the cops even got the orbs on thier dash cam video. Later we matched up the video with the still photos and ever since, the cop is now a member of that ghost hunting club!

Cheers!!!!

Thanks all! I just wanted to mention again that the object in question was not moving, all 4 of the pictures are of the same object, we have no fireflys here in colorado. I feel that what I saw was at least unexplained to me, so the firefly theory does not apply. I will keep my eyes out and see if I spot any further objects and post pics as well.

Hi RFBurns! thanks for sharing! I don't think this object was ghostly in that it was too high up and the way it's light(s) emitted, it was bright! and looked so out of place that I just couldn't help but to be curious. I would love to see your photos sometime should you ever decide to dig them up.
