As far as the publicity goes, I already stated opinions on why this wasn't aired. This would cause terror, not relief, and terror is what we're trying to avoid. As far as telling him ATS thanks him...Well, I haven't gotten around to telling him I'm an active member of a conspiracy board. My mom now, since learning I posted here, looks at me like I'm a wacko when I tell her about any kind of cover up or anything. I can't use ATS as a credible source, I have to find another so she'll believe me...lol but then, I have to do that here if I find out something on FoxNews; gotta find another source or be called an ignorant tool... Kinda makes you think...

But actually, I may tell him about this. I was asking him about the 911 commission and the case against the entire administration, and he hadn't heard a thing about that. This really is a phenominal news source with an opinionated twist. He might like it, if I can present it to him in the right light...

Oh, but thanks for the kudos for my fam, even if they never do find out...

So has anyone else seen the show? If the government were thinking about hiding this story I think they should let it leak out a little to show people the terror threat is still real and not something Bush just talks about to try to get re-elected. However that's another thread. This site would be a great site for a leak in my opinion. Good find. Keep us informed of any news.

Well jungle, your dad has said some fairly..... large accusations in the past. Frankly I think if anyone was taking what he's saying seriously it would be plastered all over the news. Time will tell I guess.

Grandfather. But I agree, he is, like many of us, believing in the larger conspiracy. Many people think of him as a nut. The reason I don't? He's shown me documents.

More importaintly, he has no political agenda. Look at all the accusations he's made in the past. He doesn't favor one party over the other. All that matters to him is the truth. I've known him all my life, and my mom has told me stories of him in the past.

For instance:
My mom and her siblings were big hippies in the 60s and 70s. My grandfather took fantastic care of his parsley ( I don't understand, either). Well, they figured they'd plant some pot there, and he'd take care of it. And boy did he ever, he loved to eat the buds, said they tasted great! Annoyed the heck out of my mom and company.

Anyway, the DA for Illinois was over at his house, along with the governer. Well, he was really proud of his parsley, so he took both of them to see it. he handed the DA a bud, saying "I don't know what kind of parsley this is, but it started growing here, and it tastes great!". The DA's mouth dropped.

"Dave, do you know what this is?" That was the last thing my mom and her sister (who told me this story) heard before running downstairs and for the door before they heard a hugh "GOD DAMN IT!" Both of them froze. My grandfather just told them to be back at a certain time, he had to talk to them. He didn't know they were freaked out when the DA was being shown the "parsley" and watched the whole exchange.

When he was talking to them, my mom denied everything. And she did it in true politician/lawyer fashion. My Aunt confessed everything. As she did, my mom turned whiter and whiter. And she was severly punished. The reason? The rule of the house. The number one rule of the house: always tell the truth. My Aunt was praised for admitting her wrongdoing, my mom was, essensially, sentanced to life. I find it very very hard to believe that his beliefs have shifted so far as to allow him to lie for political or personal reasons. He has been knighted by the Catholic Church (something we get into arguements over all the time) for donations, ( Technically, he can ride a horse into a church). He told me tonight indirectly (I was listening while fixing their DVD player, he was telling this to my grandma) that "O'Reilly wanted the truth, he said, so he wanted me. His producer started to recomend someone else [because of your contention, JOHNSmith, and people who agree] to appear on the show. O'Reilly shouted [man, I do hate O'Reilly, far too arrogant] I WANT THE TRUTH! And there was my grandfather. If that's true, I don't know, O'Reilly told that story to my grandfather.

So in short, I trust my grandfather implicitly. However, I do recognise that people can believe a lie with all their soul. I've looked into a lot of what he's told me, though, and I've told him I'm going to look into it. I've said "What you're saying is so extreme...I need to check this out myself. What would you recomend I start searching for, even though I'm going to go well beyond that?" Usually that's when I get the comment "That's my grandson, you're just like your mother [who is a die hard liberal]"

I've questioned him, and he has NEVER come up lacking. But now you're going to have to ask yourselves the same thing. To do so, I recomend you read my posts. I can be sarcastic at times, but I believe it's obvious when I am. See if (Other then TimeCube, my first thread here, when I was a point whore) any of my posts contradict eachother. See if I've been caught in a lie. Then evaluate my words, I think they'll hold true to what I believe, even if it's not what you believe. Lol, and suddenly that What makes a conspirator thread will make sense...

The Atomic Energy Comission hasn't existed for a long time.

Probably at least 20 or so years ago, it was renamed and enlarged to form the Department of Energy. However, a grandfather would remebered the AEC name as well and might use it out of convenience.

Of course this is still a euphemism, as a large majority (though not exclusively) of the DOE's activities involve nuclear weapons and nuclear materials.

There is research into other energy systems and technologies, however.

The DOE has a Nuclear Emergency Search Team (NEST) which is the one which looks for possibly hostile nuclear devices or wastes.

There was just a movie with George Clooney [a soldier] and Nicole Kidman on TNT where they had to look for a fission bomb from Serbians. In the movie, Kidman plays a person from NEST; and apparently was modeled after an actual woman who works for them.

Did anyone see O'Reilly at 4 am this morning?

I was up at that time and checked Fox but there was only a re-broadcast of the Presidential press conference. I didn't stick around to see if it was delayed. Nothing related to the subject and O'Reilly comes up on a casual web search, just some old David Schippers interviews, quotes, and mention of a book he wrote on the Clinton impeachment.

This is an interesting thread and entirely possible but I have a problem with the alleged takedown of the device the next day after the four streets were named. Such a takedown would undoubtedly involve enough vehicles/individuals to make the news. I do not recall such an event coming out of the Chicago area like this.

You might be surprised. My mom was in DC for business a year ago, and she was freaking out. Accross the street from her hotel, it was a cop and FBI madhouse. She saw black helecoptors flying around a building, lights everywhere, so she turned on the news. Nothing. It was never covered. She ended up getting out of her hotel and going to a resteraunt to avoid whatever might happen, since there was no information. If that can happen in our capital without press coverage, it could definatelly happen in America's third largest city (unless we're beating LA again, then we're second )

Well, Jose Padilla was captured May 8, 2002 at O'Hare after mis-declaring his cash on hand. Was Padilla involved in this after all? Is that maybe why the FBI could not move on the dirty bomb location?

I missed the part of Hannity today where he interviewed Ashcroft. Did anyone see this, and did he mention anything about the allegations Dave Schippers put forward that he knew about the dirty bomb and did nothing about it?

There is a mention on Bill O'Reilly's website of Mr. Schippers as a guest. It is listed under "Talking Points Memo & Top Story

Searching the Web for more info turned up one intersting link, this one on FreeRepublic.com - David Schippers Interview, 111201. Check it out. I didn't turn up anything other than some interviews about a terrorist link to the OK City bombing.

I am in the dark here. I live in MI, next to Canada. When was this dirty bomb episode? Last September maybe? Either Detroit-Windsor or Sarnia-Port uron? I have very vague memories of something happening, and it being a hoax??

Well, it did turn out to be a hoax, or rather disinformation. As for where it was, I don't recall exactly. I don't remember any media coverage saying it was a hoax, however, but I could have missed it. It was reported early last year.
