Would it not make sense, then, to suppose that by learning how to interact with the system in order to parasite off money and resources - that these individuals are better adapted behaviorally to the environmental conditions of our society?

That's what we're talking about isn't it? This is an obvious fact. If it were necessary to winnow out the weak for the purposes of securing resources for the collective, then we might even applaud the cleverness of the parasites. In fact, many people do this. Some people will even publicly express disdain for a Ken Lay but in private laud him for his moxy. The point of salience here is that the "environmental conditions of our society" are now cultivated by this "enlightened elite" in order to sustain their continued success. If the situation changes (and I hope that it does), then what makes them successful today might make them losers tomorrow.

It would do well to remember our heritage... that we are descended from hierarchical social structures often expressed in our closes animal relatives. Do not the "bottom rung" of their society get flattened while the "Alpha Male" gets fatter? At least, until the point he gets so fat that he can no longer defend his position against younger and more more vigorous males.

Primatologists call this the Strength is Weakness paradox. In a monkey troupe, there will always be subordinate animals on the outer periphery. They enjoy less reproductive success and absorb stress from the higher ranking monkeys, so therefore they are disposed towards usurpation of the alpha. There is no reason for any of the mid-level monkeys to ally themselves with would-be usurpers unless they calculate that they will have it better under a new leader. If a usurper's allies grow, then the rest of the mid-level monkeys will have to change their calculations. In fact, they must do it quickly and decisively if they are to enjoy even the same status they currently enjoy. Humans are much more complex than monkeys, but the principle is the same. I'm not overburdened with any historical narrative, but this point is valid.

The ability to step outside of our everyday lives and to try to "observe" from the outside - rather than just blaming randomly.

I assume you are speaking generally and not specifically to something I have said, since what I have said is that the blame belongs to all of us.

I don't know how [the Founding Fathers] would react to the current forms of Big Government, or an NWO (it's hard to gauge how they would react to today's politics without their being fully informed about the world which shapes those politics) - but the basic principles are there. Perhaps, much like communism, the idea is good on paper but near impossible in practice.

Which is what I have been saying. The US is pretty great on paper, but it is unadulterated ambition/greed and a general lack of promotion across our culture for compassion and temperance that screws it all up. I can remember reading books wherein people actually put forth the proposition that things like vanity and greed were faults rather than virtues. In the past 100 years, somehow humility and compassion have been removed from the top shelf of worthy character traits, because anyone living in our ever-sickening society can see that such traits are for suckers.

A big hurdle obstructing social change is the ability of the well-educated to draw upon a classical education to find philosophical and anecdotal justifications for their essentially coarse and brutish impulses. Like Atlantis in its final days, the populace at large thinks they are better than ever when only a minority have eyes to see that the nobility has drained out of this society like the blood from a slaughtered animal.

If the NWO does happen, it will change all of our lives dramatically, how can people not even spend one day looking into it?!
How can people be so ignorant?

Hmm. It could simply be that people define "ignorance" along the lines of believing in things simply because of groundless claims and unsupported facts.

Claiming that an NWO would necessarily entail such a "drastic" change of our lives doesn't make an NWO any more true...this is an appeal to emotion.

It's a great theory for those hellbent on conspiracy theories and paranoia in general, but it's still an appeal to emotion.

So start providing some hard facts before bemoaning how ignorant people really are.

This is your way of answering my question and substantiating your own suppositions? Color me surprised. No, really.

Point still stands. Put up or shut up. Relying on others to do your work for you (which they won't do, regardless, because of course they can't) is tacky and lazy.

A wonderful pop culture appeal to emotion, but empty nonetheless. Instead of hollow rhetoric, please substantiate your argument with something that even smells like fact.

I don't see anything wrong with the NWO. Its uniting the World Governments and could abolish many things. Can somebody tell me whats so bad about it?

There is a chemical in blood that drives the mind crazy. If you want to join me feel free.

Drink Blood.
Do X.
Smoke.
Drink.
Then go clean and sober. Balanced Diet.
Take everything in around you. You will see Red and Blue everywhere you go.

People talk through their mannerisms and it will mimic a voice.
Talk with your hands and don't actually talk for a LONG time.

I thought I was crazy, but I think I'm evolving. I try to keep it a secret, but it has to do with the TV show "Metalocalypse"

Believe me, I think I'm crazy right now just trying to explain it, but it works and people catch on.

Okay, first id like to state that as a new member to ATS, i am very much convinced that the NWO is and will remain, the undoubted enemy of the free people. With that aside id now like to say that, the reason i beleive the NWO to be the enemy is because, any goverment that has complete control of their nation doesn't want people to rebel, know or even guess their secrets and powers. Now, if the NWO were to finally show themselves and take control, think what would happen to the world. We would be governed and checked by law after law to keep us subdued, which in turn would cause rebelions and, perhaps after a while, a war. Now i dont think for a second that, if that were to happen, anyone would be able to openly defy or indeed challenge them. Few people such as ourselves may attempt to do so, however, we would only be able to do so useing shadows and secrets to remain hidden. But even then, i beleive that they would find, and no doubt kill those who deny them the loyalty that they would demand from us. The only way, i think, that we could combat the situation, is as some have stated above, is to stop people beleiving that we are just a bunch of crazy nuts, and feed them the truth, slowly, bit by bit, untill they are convinced that we as a group, are not trying to fill people with fear of things too great for them to understand, but to help protect and give them understanding.

Thank's for reading and i look foward to talking more on the subject
.

This is your response? Watch what people say in this thread as evidence? Are you f'ing kidding me?

You're all alone here. Scary, cold, miserable in the dark. Hopefully this will encourage you to balk at posting such fluff OPs in the future, like so many other nincompoops on ATS have done in the past. At least to save us some time, if not for your own humility.

But hey. Likely you'll prove to be like every other moron on ATS; you'll complain about your rights to express yourself, you'll waste bandwidth in doing so, and then you'll complain when the "disinfo" agents tear your logic to shreds.

It's so...pedestrian.
