AP NewsBreak: $35M contract despite electrocutions

Defense contractor KBR Inc., which is under criminal investigation in the electrocution deaths of at least two U.S. soldiers in Iraq, has been awarded a $35 million contract by the Pentagon to build an electrical distribution center and other projects there.

The announcement of the new KBR contract comes just months after the Pentagon, in strongly worded correspondence obtained by The Associated Press, rejected the company's explanation of serious mistakes in Iraq and its proposed improvements.

I guess more of the same remains the game. Why do we, and those that "lead" us, continue to reward those who make such mind-numbing mistakes? It's as if no one can do no wrong, yet all we hear about is what someone did that was clearly wrong.

This is a disappointing piece of news which includes -

"Many within DOD (the Department of Defense) have lost or are losing all remaining confidence in KBR's ability to successfully and repeatedly perform the required electrical support services mission in Iraq," wrote Graff, commander of the Defense Contract Management Agency, in a Sept. 30 letter.

The only changes are those `up the front ` so to speak , the faces on T.V. some change within 4 years others 8 years ...... but the others

...................................................................you never see.

They were there for the last president ~they remain during this presidency~ and they will probably still be there after.

It is an enormous organisation , as only well you know.
