BBC presenter Jeremy Clarkson has described British Prime Minister Gordon Brown as a "one-eyed Scottish idiot" at a press conference in Sydney promoting Top Gear Live stage shows.

He was drawing a comparison between the British and Australian prime ministers' reaction to the global credit crunch.

His comments have provoked anger in Scotland.

Jeremy Clarkson took the words out of mine and everyone’s mouths. "The Prime minister is an idiot"
For seeing/comparing the difference of characters, attitudes, dignities that these governments have for their countries, I think of him as sightful and full of dam right common sense. We all get to see this every week or every episode we watch when it comes to him and cars.
He is known for his ridiculous on certain topics, taking the Mick out of people, and having a great sense of humour which people do go and see. He is a lot of fun to watch on air and he gets paid for this, which is enjoyable and even popular.

The press just love making everything stand out of context and watching the bomb explode, even to the extent of throwing Scottish citizens and MPs into the equation making the comment seem unbearable and an insult to the Scottish people.

Just last week Gordon Brown was being ridiculed by the British workers for handing over valuable industrial jobs. His idea for the British citizens and the economical problem is that we just have to ride it out, take it as it comes even though the problem is still to get worse.
Businesses are falling to their to their knees, thousands of people are jobless and he has the nerve to hand over jobs to other European workers, it's obvious what he thinks, you see it in practically every town, foreigners taking local jobs, the locals complaining and here right in our faces we have to get back to work and lump it!

I believe Jeremy Clarkson is right to his opinion and that’s why I love watching him, but also isn’t this why you watch him for his opinions, facts, sense of humour and just to laugh at him. Why do the British criticize every ,little ,detail? Jesus I’m Scottish and I salute the guy for being so forthcoming about the subject and I wanna know more of his thoughts.
And that made me think I am going to read his book!

Well he might be right about Gordon... But you gotta remember this is the man who actually got his REAL bank account details published in the papers because he was sure that it was enough details for some one to take money from his account.

The next statement came and some one had made a rather large donation to a charity using those details... The guy is a very rich Muppet, (still I would drink with him if I had the chance)

Gordon brown is a Twit what would be better is using Gordon browns same quote from 1992 to decribe his goverment

Also Top Gear is a quality program & although the presenters are a little up themselves they are proper entertaining thats for sure.

Well if im honest I like Jeremy Clarkson allot because he is very happy with speaking his mind which I admire but DAMN he is a dumbass a lot of the time like wit the bank details fiasco which was said in another post

but come one what the hell is going on here he is in trouble for speaking his mind sure it was against the Prime Minister but who cares if he said this about someone else he wouldn’t be in this much trouble I would love to say something bad about our Prime Minister you know why because he is stupid and he is messing up the country

Yet another overpaid fat cat shooting off his mouth again. Shouldn't presenter be showing good example to the younger generations? At current economic climate, there will be plenty of candidates who can do the presenting job equally well at a fraction of the greatly inflated pay packet. May be we should look at tightening BBC's belt so that they will have to economise like the rest of the population!
