There are 2 theories as to why the board works. 1) It truly attracts spirits and they use there energy to move the planchette. 2) It amplifies the users psychic abilities that we all naturally have and b/c of that, the more users, the better it reacts. What ever attitude you and others bring to the board; you'll get back in return. Low-entity spirits will respond with garbled and misspelled words and sentences. They'll also use explicit profanity and violently move the planchette. If this happens, say Goodbye aloud with a stern voice. If it doesn't listen, say you want to talk with other spirits then say Goodbye! If you close the session without the spirit saying bye to you, it might linger with users and/or the location the board was used. High-entities spell out words and sentences very well, can spell out adult words no matter what their age and all knowledge is known to them. Never ask when you'll die or how. I've been told that's something we're not allowed to know. Also, whoever is touching the planchette, do NOT ask to speak with a deceased relative! Have fun and be cautious. ^_^

Here is something for you to do.
1. While playing with your ouija light black candles.
2. While asking for spirits ask for them by names.
3. If nothing has happened and you dont feel any paranormal Say the name Baalzebub
4. If you contact that you will be in for a very scary life that will make you regret ever doing this again and might even stop you from doing anything.

This will cause harm but you are doing it. You will expierience something definitely something that you will need to find some help and asking questions on the internet will not help. I suggest you find help from somebody that is more intelligent than you.

Thank you this is exactly what I'm thinking. I'm out to see if this is really true and what not and if something does happen it is not like there's no one that can help me.

Once you attract the attention of whatever is around you when you do this, there will be no one to help you. Because no one will believe you. You'll know about it tho, and years later you will think back and hardly believe it yourself.

You can almost feel them feeding off you, the hate and suffering they cause.

And no amount of faith or belief will rid you of them. The world doesn't work that way.

Anyone that believes Ouija boards work wanna tell me maybe why this didnt work?

[edit on 5-2-2009 by mischief2013]

All I can say is that when we did it ..it took over 90mins for anything to actually happen. Like all young people we were laughing and joking around. My brother was pushing it ( a glass) to things like "Bridget Bardot loves him" etc. We had to wait for his girlfiend to arrive (who happened to be a real sensitive person..sleeps with the light on etc) and as soon as she arrived things were very different.
You could actually feel the difference and we all took our fingers off one by one and it still worked. Maybe we were lucky that we got a spirit that didnt harm us and maybe that was because we did take it seriously and didnt joke around after that.
He said that he wanted us to pray for him because he had sinned so I presumed he must have been in a state of pergatory. But he did tell us not to do it again because it was an evil occult.

Ya know, honestly I don't see what all the fuss is about. Back when my friends & I were around the same age as the OP, we too had a fascination with anything related to supernatural phenomena or whatever you wanna classify it as. We tried everything from levitation (lite as a feather, stiff as a board), séances, and of course the ouija board. Nothing bad ever happened that I can recall. But before all of that, back before I was even a 'teenager', I first learned of the ouija board while I was at my grandparents house; when to my surprise my grandma went to the bedroom closet and pulled what looked like a board game box down from the shelf. The box itself looked like no other board game box I'd seen, having very dark & mysterious artwork which read "Ouija - the mystifying oracle". The board itself was also quite neat looking, I'm guessing it was made in the 50's. It most likely then that my fascination began, since I knew my grandmother wouldn't intentionally move the planchette on purpose to fake me out. Anyhow, nothing ever happened to us, my grandma btw; was quite religious and went to church every Sunday morning.

My advice when using the board, would be to have the the two people using the board asking the board other peoples questions to which they wouldn't know the answer. Done in that manner, nobody could try to intentionally spell out what they know. Regardless, it's a strange toy/device; and believe there is something rather mysterious about them. See for yourself & have fun!

My advice would be not to. Other than that, since I am sure you have done this by now, I can only hope that nothing did in fact happen.

Good luck on it, no matter what people say I think everyone should try one, I have yet to, I might add.

As long as you take care, On the safe side draw a line of salt along the door threshold and any window frames, it keeps out the bad spirits apparently, and when you start , have only 'happy' thoughts in your mind, try to not have any kind of fear or apprehension, as the negative spirits 'home' in on negative feelings.

When 'calling' keep asking for a benevolent spirit or fiendly soul, but on the check list , make you that you do not believe anything that is said to you should you contact one, sometimes as stories have been heard to say that the negative spirits say , things like " you can trust me , I'm nice " etc.

You want a challenge though?

I'll send you my name in a U2U and you have to ask the spirit what my job is. oh and My email address won't give it away...

Well said number 29...my thoughts exactly. I don't suppose there is anyway we can get this little bunny to change his mind, so I'm gonna leave it for now. Kinda boring, and now it's made me grumpy....not a good thing. I wish he hadn't bothered asking and just did it....it's almost like showcasing how all growed up he is.

Maybe I will be able to keep my gob shut on next months Teenage Ouija Board Extravaganza....I will try, but it's hard!!

From your post i've noticed your very condescending to people younger then you. calling me a "little bunny" And saying that this was a "Hormonal blair witch thingy" Yes i am only 19. But i consider my self ahead of my time. Why would i be on Ats if i was all about Laguna beach and all this other crap that people in my age group are into. I think your being ignorant and grouping me into a category i'm not in. You are generalising my actions into being just another stupid teen. And since your Sooo grown up its very immature to make this a personal matter insulting me.

You act as if you havnt done anything wreckless or dangerous when you were a teen. As if you werent curious to new things. I am a teenager yes and im just doing my part in exploring.

I think you are looking at this the wrong way. Those of us that are older are simply trying to keep you from things, that we know from experience are BAD. You stated at the onset that you were determined to do this, then asked for advice, which you surely knew would include a lot to NOT do this. Being young isn't a crime; it's simply a case of less experience and less knowledge. I don't think anyone is trying to insult you here.

If if it was dangerous, don't you think it'd get a negative mark or something from Consumer Reports or the Better Business Bureau? Yeah... maybe a chocking hazard or something if one of the chintzy plastic legs on the thing break off and you're dumb enough to try to swallow it.

/facepalm

Um, no. Consumer Reports isn't generally concerned with, or even convinced of, the possibilities for demonic influence or even possession. The danger here isn't (at least primarily) physical, and thus would not be something consumer groups cared about.

You should be very careful as many others have pointed out as you are opening up communication channels that anything can come through. You will have no idea what you let through until it acts.

A little story that I hope will put you off (if you haven't already tried it).

When my mum was in her teens (I think around 16-18) she and her (then) best friend decided to do a Ouija Board not thinking it was going to do anything and joking about.

The glass apparently only moved to one letter (D) and then didn't move any more. Thinking that it was over and nothing else was going to happen they stopped and just sat and joked some more.

All of a sudden her friend slumped back in her chair and stared speaking in a deep voice which wasn't hers. Although my mum said she couldn't make out what she was saying and got so scared that she ran out of her firends house and back home.

She said when she met her friend the next day she seemed slightly different and almost in a day dream state most of the day, but after several days (or weeks can't remember) she went back to normal.

5 years on her best friend got married and became pregnant with a child. Whilst pregnant she would wake in the night with terrible nightmares although when asked what they were about she would just say she couldn't remember.

Finally the baby was born and was healthy although the nightmares seemed to continue (not as often though as they were almost every night).

One night she awoke to the baby crying and went to the babies crib to sooth her. When she opened the door the crying stopped and the baby was not in her crib.

Frantic she looked everywhere for the baby and finally after no success woke her husband who immediately called the police.

The police arrived and thoroughly checked all over the house eventually finding her child. Unfotunately the child had been found squashed under the heavy mattrus in her crib and had subsiquently died.

This event was unexplainable as the mattrus was far too heavy for the baby to lift even a little let alone to get under the mattrus.

The parents were thoroughly questioned by the police and after several months of questioning and investigations the parents were not convicted of murder.

3 months later my mums best friend committed suicide.

I'm not much of a story teller and I personaly did not witness any of this as it was told to me by my mum.

But if true it just goes to show that once you do this, whatever you let out won't dissapear out of your life completely.

Yeah, Someone was looking out for you. Consider that a sign, and get rid of the infernal thing, PLEASE.

Seriously, there are some people that these spirits simply do not like, and will avoid manifesting around. Might be, one of your friends. Might be some of the prayers for you gained you some protection. In any case, I urge you to throw the thing away, and not use it again. Consider, too, that someone might give you advice to the contrary for a reason.

Me? Concern. Serious, and very real concern.

Think about this; maybe they didn't contact you so that you would think it was all fake, and let your guard down. Don't offer your trust so freely. I have nothing to gain by giving this advice.

Ask the Ouija board when the next terrorist attack will be...

Ask if it will be nuclear attack - Y or N.

See what it says.

i think you SHOULD use the Ouija board and have fun doing it.
nothing will happen to you, physically or otherwise. if there WERE something to it, there would conclusive video evidence of it by now.

if anything, it would be fun by the power of suggestion to "open up doorways" and such.

nothing will happen-- have fun!

I've tryed a Ouija board 3 times with very close friends who i trust with my life.
On all 3 occasions nothing happened, Ouija boards are nothing more than urban myths. FACT
