In early January during the massacre by the IDF on the Palestinians, The UN Security Council voted on resolution 1860 (2009)

"SECURITY COUNCIL CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE, DURABLE, FULLY RESPECTED CEASEFIRE IN GAZA LEADING TO FULL WITHDRAWAL OF ISRAELI FORCES

Resolution 1860 (2009) Adopted by 14 in Favour, Abstention by United States;"

Afterwards Israel's Olmert went on record with his telling of how this happened?

"I said, 'Get me President Bush on the phone.' They said he was in the middle of giving a speech in Philadelphia. I said I didn't care. 'I need to talk to him now.' He got off the podium and spoke to me." According to Olmert, Bush was clueless. "He said: 'Listen. I don't know about it. I didn't see it. I'm not familiar with the phrasing.’ I told him the United States could not vote in favor. It cannot vote in favor of such a resolution. He immediately called the secretary of state and told her no."

Now South African Deputy Foreign Affairs minister Fatima Hajaig at a pro-Palestinian rally in Lenasia said Jews "control [America], no matter which government comes into power, whether Republican or Democrat, whether Barack Obama or George Bush".

"Control of America, just like the control of most Western countries, is in the hands of Jewish money, and if Jewish money controls their country then you cannot expect anything."

If in fact Olmert is speaking the truth about what transpired to stop America to vote for this UN resolution, is South Africa's Fatima Hajaig correct that even if Obama was already president at the time of the attack on Gaza, would Obama also have instructed Hillary Clinton to abstain from the vote, or would he have joined the other 14 members in voting for the resolution, or would he have vetoed the resolution altogether?

Would Obama have left the stage where he was making a speech, and taken instruction about voting in the Security Council from Olmert?

I am sorry for the obamatrons but Obama is a just a PR guy. Bush was a PR guy all POTUS are PR guys. They just sit up in a white house and tell the american people what the majority want to here. Obama will just continue on what Bush started thats just the way it is and the guy after Obama will do the same thing. But all that aside I hope I am wrong and Obama delivers on what he has said.

Did he really say this or is somebody just saying that he said this?

Do you have a source for this?

Thanks

There are numerous sources available just google but here is a media sourc NYT:

Olmert article

Bush denies it happening.

And some more :

On October 3, 2001, I.A.P. News reported that according to Israel Radio (in Hebrew) Kol Yisrael an acrimonious argument erupted during the Israeli cabinet weekly session last week between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his foreign Minister Shimon Peres. Peres warned Sharon that refusing to heed incessant American requests for a cease-fire with the Palestinians would endanger Israeli interests and "turn the US against us. "Sharon reportedly yelled at Peres, saying "don't worry about American pressure, we the Jewish people control America."

"The Israelis control the policy in the congress and the senate."

-- Senator Fullbright, Chair of Senate Foreign Relations Committee: 10/07/1973 on CBS' "Face the Nation".

"I am aware how almost impossible it is in this country to carry out a foreign policy [in the Middle East] not approved by the Jews..... terrific control the Jews have over the news media and the barrage the Jews have built up on congressmen .... I am very much concerned over the fact that the Jewish influence here is completely dominating the scene and making it almost impossible to get congress to do anything they don't approve of. The Israeli embassy is practically dictating to the congress through influential Jewish people in the country"

-----Sec. of State John Foster Dulles quoted on p.99 of Fallen Pillars by Donald Neff

My opinion is that if this were to rewind and Obama was now president. Rahm Emanuel would answer the phone at the White House and speak to Olmert and the converasation would go something like this.

Olmert: Where is that Obama
Rahm: He is making a speech of national importance, Great and wondrous prime Minister Olmert
Olmert : You tell him to get off that stage NOW and stop Hillary from voting for that resolution.
Rahm: PM Olmert don't worry about a thing. I will call her myself and tell her Obama says no. Why bother him with these things. He has other things to worry about - you know promises and speeches and looking good for photographs and selecting a dog for the White House.
Olmert: Just remind him who runs America!
