Recent kidnappings in iraq are very suspiscous !

Does anyone besides myself think theese kidnappings are suspiscous ???
Theese people are being sent into probably the most dangerous cities in Iraq without armed support !?!?!

and now there has to be at least six or seven or more nationalities represented who have been kidnapped !!

Does this not throw up a red flag to anyone but me ???

Personally i think this is being used as political motives to extend the war and the deadline of the official takeover of the new Iraqi government because our gov.
realizes that the deadline is not going to fly and it may be used to gain sympathy across the world and used as fodder for bushes reelection.

Im not buying it and it is rather sickening that our government would use people as political fodder !!!
The gov. has done this in past history and im afraid there doing it again

I didn't find it suspicious at first, but today when I heard about those 11 Russians who were kidnapped I started to wonder...

My thoughts are a bit different but in this thread (below), I noticed a trend:

and in this thread (below), I ran across chat rooms and forum discussions relating to a 'real' possible "conspiracy theory" but revolves, well, around...nah....you read it:

That may explain the japaneese perspective of this or its possible they may be used as fodder from the perspective of well if they are willing to burn lefties against the war who are really siding with the iraqis for the u.s to get out...they would be willing to burn everybody so lets bomb the place into oblivion and continue the war....i dont think anything is happening just randomly over there

i think there hostages are small attempts to control but they are doing it like 3rd graders playing CTF, now they might soup-up their plans an start taking hostages from one country but telling another country to get out or they will kill the other people's hostages. wouldnt that be the next step in there hostage taking ordeal?

Seek, are you thinking that the Russians are also anti-war in some way? because there is this from the news " A Russian engineer in Iraq told Al Jazeera the 11 worked at power plants." I do agree that the japs are a very suspicious bunch, but not sure about the Russians.

i must say that all theese different people being abducted is very suspicous ...especially the guys who got burnt to death ....fallujah is one of the hottest places over there and theese guys were just there with no support...i think the u.s. is to blame for there deaths more than the iraqis...

I am not implying that the 11 Russian's taken were anti-war activists or such, BUT Russia was against the war in Iraq. In capturing these Russians, who ever or whomever figures, maybe, are hoping or banking that the Putin/Russia will have some influence or will place pressure on Bush/US to cease actions, withdraw, etc. Same with the Chinese kidnappings.

The only problem I see with the Russian kidnapping, is that who or whomever that did this is not very up-to-date on how the KGB has reacted against such 'kidnappings' before.

what's so special about the russians? i dont see any significance to these kidnappings. they're humanitarian workers, easy targets with nothing to protect them.

nothing to protect them is a little off, i think..supposidly the american civilians that were burned were there to protect food convoys, altho, the company they worked for Blackwater is also well known for training mercenaries...i was still under the impression that each country over there either had contracted out for some kind of so called "security" for their humanitarian workers...or either that country provided it...that is the job of a security company...right?

for as dangerous as it is over there, humanitarian workers...with NO AGENDA except to help rebuild would not be in such dangerous areas without someone watching their backs...

it just doesn't "feel" right...

Russia seems indifferent to leaving conscripts out in the wilderness at the mercy of Chechnyans without support or equipment. I don't think a few civilian contractors taken hostage will make much difference.

This is not a jab at Russia at all. Just my take based on what I've heard/seen/read. I actually have a lot of respect for Russia for a number of reasons.

I find it amazing that other contractors in iraq are never out of eye shot of a military presence and yet theese ones are captured in towns where the resistance is the worst and suspected resistance is the worst wouldnt you have back up for theese people ???

You'd think a firefight between resistance and security (be it mercs or coalition forces) would have occured before it was possible for hostages to be taken. but that would mean the security would have either been defeated or retreated leaving the civilian contractors to their fate.

I can understand why they are kidnapping citizens of countries in the 'Coalition of the Willing', but why they kidnapped Chinese and Russians (this is the first i heard of the Russians BTW), nations who were against going into iraq, is beyond me... but oh well, desperate times call for desperate measures... and the Iraqis are desperate to get rid of the USA
