UFO over Germany official - says air traffic control

Crack Luftawaffe fighter pilots were scrambled in a UFO drama over German airpsace, it emerged today (Thursday).

The mystery object was tracked moving across the entire country at high speed after being spotted by Germany's air traffic controllers on January 19.

Now an official report into the UFO sighting is being compiled by the country's air traffic safety office, the DFS.

Investigators have already checked and excluded conventional aircraft, weather balloons and freak atmospheric conditions.

"We have ruled out all the conventional possibilities - it is a mystery," said DFS spokesman Axel Raab.

German air force jets were put on red alert and there were dozens of reports of the object as it flew across southern Germany including several airports which were put on emergency standby.

It eventually vanished above Grafenwoehr, an area used by American troops on training exercises.

Raab said: "When it vanished from the radar we believed that whatever it was had crashed - but there was no crash site to be seen.

"It is a complete mystery. It confused radar operators because it kept flicking on and off the screen as if some of the time it just wasn't there. Then it simply vanished completely into thin air."

I live in Germany but I had not heard of this story. It wasn't covered on the news either. Someone should call Uri Geller, maybe he knows something. (For those of you that don't know what I'm referring to, Uri Geller did a live 2-hour show on a Saturday night about a month ago here in Germany, in which we claimed he would make contact with extraterrestrial life. Needless to say, he made a complete fool of himself and alienated even the few people that were stupid enough to actually tune in to this show.)

First post but im checking this site regular. i can confirm that allot of people in germany saw the object close range. a friend of mine is living in Gunzenhausen and allot of people there saw the object fly over. Its a pitty they didnt catch it on video, but he said it was goin to fast to get a camera or mobile. he said he never seen something like this, it was goin so fast without any snd. hopefully some1 else did captured it on video because im getting exiting on this siting. he said u almost could look trough the object, his quote: It was like i was in a freakin science fiction movie. since 3 years he had a rottweiler wich was barking all night long, and when he saw the object coming his dog began to bark only when it passed over his head he stopped immediatly and he ran away. still he didnt find him. now lets get real, when a balloon or airplane flies over , normally a pet wouldnt even stand up. srry for my bad english i hope more ppl have seen it and videotaped it because i think this is very interesting.

when i know more about this, and maybe when theres a film i will come here again to post it because my friend is trying to look if some1 from his town COULD record it.

Interesting, It could be a secret new type of aircraft I suppose. It is one way to check if your new planes are working.

I found an article in a german newspaper, "Stuttgarter Nachrichten", in which an eyewitness suspects the object might have been a drone. International investigations are under way.

This suggests to me that it might have been some kid of US test done or maybe they are playing around with some new kind of plane.

O maybe the ET's made a quick stop at the base to drop someone off ;]

Do you ever get the feeling that someone is playing with us like a cat plays with the red light of a laser pointer? Is it just as difficult to make something that isn't there appear on radar as it is for something that is there to avoid being detected by radar?

If the craft was surrounded by an plazma field around it it abzorbs radio waves and this makes it invisible from radar. maybe the american craft was experiencing problems hence was appearing and dissapearing from radar view

Well some theories state that ufo crafts use gravity manipulation for travel so it could be possible that distortions in space time caused by an intense gravity field could cause this type of craft could throw off the radar. Had to throw one out on the ET side of things.

Edit: I would also like to add that they may be testing our capabilities.

removing radar cross sections for craft isnt just an american usage. Work by the russian Doctor Anatoliy Koroteyev describes using plasma technology for stealth purposes.

I´m German and I did some research:

German ATC said that the spotted object was not identifing itself via radio.
According to ATC it was most likely a microlight aircraft or an unannounced American drone. The latter will be investigated.

DFS and ATC both said that there were NO eyewitnesses and Luftwaffe was not alerted or included. There was no "drama".
The British Sun made it up.

Nevertheless, it could have been an extraterrestrial craft.

Sounds like the american army talking the piss as usual.The planet belongs to them and they can do whatever they like, or so they think.

This case needs a lot more information. What was the size? What was the shape? How many witnesses? We truly can't make any conclusions as to the source until information like this is revealed. Interesting start though.

We only hope that, in the long run of history, you will look back and see the big picture was a positive one for you and your family. Based on the report of the speed etc of this object, it is not from earth.
