Well there it is...Black water is finally going home...right?

Does anyone here really think that they are leaving the region?

Next stop...Afghanistan is my thinking here.

I feel that this is a politically motivated move to appease the current situation in Iraq. It seems that Iraq is no longer important in the "fight against terror". The work there is done...right?

Now it's more troops and Afghanistan. So that's were the terrorists are now!!! Is there oil there too??

Anyway, if we are going in, and in the numbers that have been in the press are accurate, then it would seem logical that the troops will be too "busy" to guard there own bases and have to use Black water.

I never really understood the need for a private security company guarding the Army, but what do I know.

Keep this in mind over the month or so.

In Other News...

...the State Department announced today that a multi-billion-dollar no-bid exclusive contract for personnel and asset protection in Iraq has been awarded to Whitewater Security Services.

Yep,

Blackwater is history.
But the idea of a paid army isnt.

Blackwater will downsize, and all there mercenaries will sign up with another company.

Of course, Blackwater will be paid a nice sum for each transfer.

This new company will take up the Iraqi contracts.

That is funny. I was thinking it would be wayyyy ironic if they were actually replaced by a group called Ravenwood (for the "Jericho" fans out there).
