Israel bombs Rafah

Israel has launched fresh attacks on the Gaza Strip pounding the southern parts of the densely populated sliver for a second consecutive day.

Israeli warplanes bombed the Rafah border region early on Thursday, a day after mounting at least three air raids on the region, Reuters reported.

There have been no reports of casualties yet.

An Israeli military spokesman confirmed the attack, saying it had targeted a weapon production site, in response to Wednesday's rocket attack.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israel re-launched its aerial and ground attacks in the Gaza Strip allegedly to retaliate for the death of an Israeli soldier who was killed in a bomb blast at the Kissufim crossing near the Gaza border on Tuesday.

The military responded immediately to the incident by killing a Palestinian farmer near the border crossing. Shortly afterwards, Israeli tanks were seen rolling into the strip while a warplane attacked targets across the territory.

Yes I know it is press TV, but for some strange reason I was unable to find anything on a US site

Now while I agree with the bombing weapon production sites, I cannot for the life of me understand how they can shoot a farmer.

Was the farmer producing food of mass nutrition or something?
